Really nice test, thanks!

Got fitted for both yesterday and ended up in the Paradyms and went in wanting the G430 based of looks. Hit these so much more consistently. The length gain is wild and mostly marketing by the loftings so I will have to get used to that. Hit my 7 iron 195 carry and 210 with roll out on a few good ones.

That's about the correct distance they are 5 to 6 iron lofts

Good review. Being a 62 year old golfer 🏌🏼‍♂️ with a declining swing speed I would go with the ping. It sounds like it would be better for my game with a 90 mph driver and 75 mph mid iron swing speed.

I'd be interested to see how you compare the G430 against the Mizuno JPX 923 hot metal irons. I tried pretty much everything in the pro shop yesterday, and the Mizuno was easily the best fit for me.

I would too. Same category of game improvement iron but quite different as well.

I went through a fitting this spring. I tried Titleist, Cobra, Paradym and the Ping 430. The Titleist were the least accurate and not by a small margin. Paradym and Cobra were fairly close for me on results. Ultimately, I went with the Ping G430 as it was far more accurate and only a yard or two shorter than the Paradym and Cobra Irons. I would rather give up 1-2 yards in length and save 8-15 yard side to side it was saving me versus the other two. I've now played 18 rounds with them and my iron game has been quite impressive. Using Arccos I've found that from 120-190 yards out, I've improved dramatically and gaining 3.1 strokes on approach versus similar handicapped players. Throw in switching to the G430 driver and I've lowered my handicap from 15.8 to 10.7 this spring. Prior irons were Cleveland CG-16 and driver was the Callaway Maverik. Driver similar results, lost about 5 yards of distance, but the forgiveness left and right is huge. I can live with only hitting it 280 yards off the tee if it means my miss is just barely off the fairway instead of in the trees or other trouble.

Great video. Have to go with Ping here. Much better looking in my opinion and the extra bounce they put into the long irons makes a huge difference especially with the strong lofts.

Tested them today. I liked the Ping G430 more. They just felt softer and sounded better for me. The performance (distance, height, spin) for me were about the same but the Calaways were not quite as big or as forgiving for me. If you like a harder smaller head, Paradym. I agree with his analysis but we are different players. Ping G430 for me.

review is interesting but I interpret the data a bit different. I think the G430 seems to be a bit better but the comment about looks from the tester slanted the review. Just my 2 cents.

You should test the X model vs the g430. It's more of a match of a GI iron.

I have watched other tests that suggest that if you slice the ball, the ping 430 is not an iron for you

Ping has always ruled... the others are subordinates.

I agree, this is an issue. Stealth does this better.

Mizuno hot metal takes all of these. I’m surprised no one compares or reviews them like they do these big companies that spend money on all this marketing.

Can’t see the relevance of the 770’s.

I would like to start to have a disclaimer in the videos to say if these tests are actually accurate from the tester's perspective. If he went through a true fitting with all of them seperatly then tested them against each other than I could see his recommendation as a true perspective.

He doesn't need to be fit for them. The majority of golfers are gonna just buy these off the website or at the store without being fitted, so the test is for them. As for the rest of us who do get fitted, well this test is totally irrelevant because we'll find what's best for us at the fitting.

Both these clubs show no excitement to me personally even at address but thank you for sharing this vid with us

That Callaway is the ugliest Iron I have seen in a long time, sounds like plastic when it strikes the Ball.

You are drawing conclusions from a sample size of FIVE! Add in the fact that there is no mention as to the shafts or grips. And you are making your own adjustments for different lengths. Statistical rubbish.

What a horrible comparison a cast made club to a forged face club also comparing a player distance club to game improvement club doesn’t teach anyone anything one of the worst reviews ever
