Oh man, it's like everyone forgets about the zombie map in bo2 "mob of the dead". It was extremely similar to real life, which was back in 2013. When I first played rebirth, and I didnt know it's location, I instantly figured it out because it is very similar to mob of the dead.

This videos is super awesome! I've been uploading so many rebirth vids and to see this in real life presented so well by you guys was so cool!

Not to discredit the work on Rebirth and Warzone but Blackout and Treyarch are the ones who mainly did the map back in bo4 known as Alcatraz portals based off the zombies maps and had it released as it's second map in br. Then they just decided to port the map and re-texture everything for Warzone to make it look like a soviet island. Because in Bo1 Rebirth had no similarities to Alcatraz.

@@BootItUp-AF I know that but in bo4 Zombies they brought it back in blood of the dead which expanded the map and had new story relevance. Then later on in bo4's life cycle they made a new map for Blackout which was Alcatraz portals and was based off the 2 prior zombies maps. The respawn had you coming out of a hellish portal kinda like the Purgatory that the mobsters were in on the original map. That's why respawn system is the way it is even now on Rebirth even if has little to do with Motd anymore.

Well actually it’s based after real life Alcatraz which which then was mob of the dead which then blood of the dead came out and was based of mob of the dead, and then black out Alcatraz came out which was based on blood of the dead which rebirth island was based after mostly the bo4 black out Alcatraz map.

It has appeared in COD 5 times now since 2013. It's literally just a reskined port of the Alcatraz battle royale map from black ops 4 that also got ported to COD mobile, which was a repurposing of Blood of the Dead's assets and layout from zombies, which was a remake of Mob of the Dead from Black Ops 2, which was set at Alcatraz.

Also, I started playing Warzone In 2018 unlike the people who are claiming it’s been there since 2013 or whatever. I didn’t study the game logistics and the storyline or origin of where it came from I just enjoy the game and was genuinely excited about the information I learned. I went to Alcatraz after Mob of the Dead released and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life, they really took the time to get it exact, but also I’m sure it’s pretty much the same mapping just updated textures for warzone considering we’ve been here multiple times before
