I'm really mixed about this. I can get with the whole perk system, that imo is a fun innovative change and isn't pick choose only 4 like bo4. I think they made the armor and salvage system less annoying and less broken op. Forced Outbreak isn't the best direction I feel especially cuz I've been a major fan of the round based maps for years ever since Waw and Cold War kept that fun feel. I reaaaaally think these mechanics would be fun with the round based system, but not sure if we're actually gonna get that, which is disappointing as hell. Don't get me wrong I like the Outbreak style, but basing the entire zombies year on that style but glorified isn't the best direction even for an Outbreak enjoyer

People have to understand this is not there game or year for content. Most of the times you have to wait 2. 3 years for new zombies. If this was their game and time to shine then i would get the hate.

Just because it’s not black ops doesn’t mean it’s free from any criticism. Its overall a classic zombies with a twist and objectives. I wish it was a giant open map like before.. Never felt in real danger. This though makes you go back to making zed trains and wiggling through a path. At level 10 you're playing it pretty close to the chest.

dude highest I've gotten is 16, and there is nothing quite as terrifying as spawning in from an intense objective to the sound of 15 chain guns spooling up...

This game is by far one of the best zombie games that I've played.

Maybe play more than just cold war

I played this mode twice and understood everything in game 3, very easy to pick up and play. Extremely basic right now…

This game looks different but also pretty fun. Can’t wait to watch some more tutorials, I also loved Cold War zombies so it’s gonna be hard to watch it go but still super pumped 🙏 I’m on Xbox, thanks for the giveaway!

FOR CAMO GRINDERS: Do transit first dont finish until you get enough for pap hopefully get a crit or more damage for not moving and start a harvest. Harvest will have unlimited spawns and zombies dont gain health. Do this at round 2 or 3

My problem with the way this game and how Cold War update is that the game feels so incomplete or just not having a lot of content when it launches, and then it finally feels like a full game by half way through the game’s life cycle. To be fair this game launched with lots more maps than Cold War and yeah zombies was disappointing since Cold War had one. But supposedly when season 1 is out they will add a lot of stuff.

From what I've seen, I'm a little mixed. Personally I've never been a huge easter egg person (high rounds is my thing) so I'm not too bothered by there not being an easter egg quest. What I don't really like is that there isn't any wonder weapons (not even the Raygun), no round based maps (they should have made Shi No Numa and/or Naucht Der Untoten basic survival maps to give the round based community something if this new mode was what they were gonna put most of their focus on), and there are a few minor things that I don't like such as not being able to pause and the fact that there aren't any PaP camos for the guns. Unpopular opinion, but I personally really liked Cold War zombies. Vanguard seems like a step down in my opinion. I'll of course try out the mode myself (my dad's getting the game and he wants me to play the zombies mode with him) but I'm not too sure if this is the path that Vangaurd should be going down with the zombies mode. I loved both Outbreak and Onslaught, but I don't think those 2 modes should replace and/or be the main focus for zombies.

Personally I was expecting this game to be a continuation of the Cold War style of gameplay with a few new additions (like new perks or a new gimmick/gameplay feature), but instead we got whatever this new game mode is. It would be nice to go back to any of the WaW/BO1/2/3 systems again. Heck, I've even seen CW haters say that CW zombies was much better than Vangaurd zombies. Very sad day for the zombies community, at least I've heard some good things about both the campaign and multiplayer so maybe all is not lost (yet). I'm just hoping they add a round based map in a future update, or at the very least fix some of the current issues that are plaguing the game (no PaP camos, no pausing, no wonder weapon, etc.)

List of things which didn't make me buy Vanguard for zombies. I love zombies and have played it since COD5 1. Starting with loadouts/classes 2. No soul or real characters, it's a rushed and desperate attempt 3. Objectives and too many items making it complex, not what zombies is supposed to be about unless you want to do an Easteregg 4. Exfill, lol 5. No Pack a punch camos, nor any real change in the gun, in the past, pack a punch was something special 6. Not focused on being round based, having portals like a mini game, feels like a mobile game 7. Bosses which are a nuisance, unlike in BO1 where they were complimentary, if they had any 8. Zombies not having consistency in health like they had in BO1+2+3 2 hits without Jugg, 4 hits with Jugg = simple 9. Just the simplicity of normal zombies is no longer there 10. Renaming perks like Juggernog and Speed Cola etc why fix something that isn't broken? 11. Why have ammo crates? That's not what zombies is about, Max ammo doesn't feel the same anymore

Coldwar was closest feel towards black ops 1 zombies if your an old school zombies player that’s probably why I felt was step in right direction as they wer best zombies maps black ops 1 plus waw

First thing you need to know is not to buy the game

It bothers me that from what I can tell by videos (haven’t played it myself) it seems like a down grade from ColdWar . At least on the zombies side. And the master camos aren’t very good, DA looks like the reactive FARA variant from one of the Cold War battle passes

I'm definitely not buying this for the first 6 months or maybe even all year. Cold War has been my favorite zombies in a while but also I was extremely disappointed with the rate at which content was added. I fully expect the same for this game.

Technically it is kind of round based. You just have to do a challenge at the end of each round at this point. Its not a bad add on at all.

I feel like there needs to be a traditional map alongside this obj based mode, so we can choose what we want to do

Personally, I don't think this type of zombies isn't bad, and that it could have some potential for success when content begins to flow out, but a round based system definitely would've been a better approach for Vanguard Zombies. PC (monkeyape#1558)

for harvest place 4 in a pillar, get back to holding 5, wait for onw to spawn on the ground, place the 5th stone and grab the one that spawned and you'll have 5 again

So the best strag I’ve had so far is clear the courtyard before every objective and get as many free perks as possible then upgrade jugg speed reload and dead shot!! Then survive and get armor!!! Ether shroud is BOSS for this early release!!! 💯

the PPSH, The combat shotgun, dead accurate, and the covenant that adds a round back into the magazine are all good ways to run in this new zombies IMO

I always watch your videos to help me with cold war zombies easter eggs. Always love your content. I play on ps5 and my name is Siva.

Personally I'm a fan of the Thompson and the PPSh. I'll usually rock one of those with an MG42, but the PPSh will straight up melt any chaingun dude (can't remember the name atm). Load in with a mag increase, and packed you'll be rocking 200 rounds a mag. Stack accuracy, and let the undead dominoes fall. Thompson comes in close at 125 rounds standard, but I haven't unlocked the increased mags yet so don't know that amount yet. Definitely keep an eye out for the mag mods that put in a smaller, less powerful round; that'll come back to haunt you in later rounds...learned that one the hard way.

I would love to win this game for the PS4! Although it looks very barebones and bland right now, it looks like it has a lot of potential!

Personally I start the game with either the PPSh-41 or the combat shotgun because of their high damage and hip fire accuracy, then I do the harvest mission and fill the first two but save the last totem until I get double points for twice the points from the objective or have 5000 points in total from zombies. Then I hit any available perks and get two of the same perk. Then I use what currency remains to hit the mystery box. Then I do the transmit objectives a couple of times because of how fast it is until round 5 because of the sturmkriegers. Then I would recommend hitting the mystery box again until you get to 8000 points because I pack a punch my main gun almost every time. Then finally, I would recommend farming points again after the harvest mission until 15k points for all the perks at tier 2.
