What i liked about this mission is that it shows the true nature of sides in a more realistic way, there is no good and bad guys, they all can be as bad, if anything theres bad and worse but like Reznov says their flag might be different but their methods are the same, and this is very true through the history of the world and wars sadly.

+RigguFelis but that's how we see them, sure the soviets seem bad, but they're just men following orders its the leaders who are corrupt its basically "like there are no bad dogs, there are only bad owners" like y'know the Nazis? That was basically just a small group but the german soldiers were thrown into it without knowing, sure some knew, but some didnt.

Bugged me they didn't give us the 71 round, round drum for the PPSh-41....Felt I couldn't go on as much of a rampage, especially at 10:24

I think one of my favourite parts of this mission is where in the middle of it, you can hear the song that was played in the last mission of waw. It's so fucking cool that they brought it back for both Dmitri and Reznov.

This ruined black ops for me in World at War Dimitri was the hero then he died like a animal it just made me want to break the disk in half

If you think about it they have to make him a death the story of this game would be boring if he didn't die in my opinion, I'm sad that he died but his death was so sad that it added sense to the story

It was a way of showing how high the stakes had gotten, a hero that players fought to keep alive through the bloodiest war of all time dies an unhonorable death by the villain's hand. It's to trigger the player, to make them angry, being out their emotional side......to make them demand and seek vengeance. They done this with Makarov by having Soap, Yuri, and even pvt. Jackson be killed. Borderlands did it by making us watch Jack murder Roland like a coward. These "Men" have killed you, now you'll kill them back and they will know that your name is the Lord's...when you lay your vengeance upon them.

K this is kinda late but he was probably tasked with protecting Steiner and when he went to check the door to see what all the noise was, Steiner shot him in the back because he knew the Russians where looking for him.

it was this mission that makes you realize how terrifying the nazis were. they were a horror movie of a military and political group.

I’m going to write down these awesome names. I thank you for the video and really didn’t understand the mission. But from watching was a sad story, thank you. Liked and well played brodie.

I remember losing my shit when I heard them bringing back the World at War soundtrack in this mission. Literally got chills.

Surprised? UK and France were pulling the strings before WW2 to make Hitler attack USSR first and destroy communism as his allies, they decided to go against him only when Poland was wrecked and they suddenly realized they are next in the queue. Even at war itself they allied with USSR only because they knew that they wont make it alone. They hated communistic ideology and cold war was only a matter of time

I wish this was the ending or dlc of cod WAW

I remember becoming so invested in the plot of this game when I was younger. Still to this day I believe this had one of the most intriguing and thought-provoking storylines of any video game to date...

Captain Price from the original call of duty vs Viktor Reznov.

The soundtrack for the campaign in the missions & multiplayer & zombies is way better than Black ops 2 & 3.And I like how they did a flashback mission for Reznov as well.That's why Black ops 1 is better.Well before everyone started modding & glitching and all that bullshit.

Im seeing a ton of similarities between Reznow and Woods, both soldiers who followed orders but never questioned motives, and that has gotten their friends killed and their thirst for revenge overcame them both

Reznov's description of his meeting with Steiner was pretty ominous. Noticing Steiner's lack of remorse for his affiliation to the Nazis and their crimes, Reznov was understandably angry and even reminded of just how evil they were. If you notice the tone of his voice, he didn't seem like he was talking about just his own suffering at the hands of the Nazis, but also of the countless innocents they had slaughtered during the war. Steiner's disturbing smile clearly shows that doesn't regret his crimes (little we know) or even think about the people that suffered during the war. Despite his defection, Steiner was a still a Nazi at heart. To Reznov, he wasn't looking at a man at all, but a monster in human skin. Despite the Soviets committing their share of atrocities under Stalin, Reznov's reason for going to war was just as he wasn't just fighting to avenge the death of his father, but also the countless innocents in all of Europe whom had died at hands of the Third Reich. Despite his brutality towards the Germans, Reznov was a good man who card about others more than himself and even empathized with the suffering of others weather it be his comrades or anyone else who suffered at the hands of the Nazis. He and Dimitri basically saved Europe and in the process the world, yet they were unjustly thrown aside by someone who was no different from the monsters he fought against.

Would have been so mind blowing if the game opened with this mission

I think waw 2should be released but in the first moments in ww2 like pearl harbor attack , operation Barbarossa .

I like how they made actual different weapon models for this mission alone, like they could have given all the Germans mp40s but there was stgs and panzerchrecks as well same thing for the British

STG is in zombies, but you have to buy the Rezurrection DLC for that. Edit: PPSH has returned to zombies, but only in the Gorod Krovi Black Ops 3 map.

The British Commandos were basically the Spetnaz of there day! :)

Green Warrior18 reznov fought for russia,and kravchenko and dragovich had their own plans,they didnt care about russia or anything,just about their own interests
