Caline DC10 Isolated Pedal Power Supply: Teardown and Review
Hey Everyone!
Caline sent me this power supply free of charge in exchange for my honest review. It is an older model, and it looks like it does not have as many refinements as say the CP-205, 206, or 207. However the PSU is still a great inexpensive option than using a daisy chain. The outputs are ganged together in pairs to accommodate the limited secondary windings in the isolation transformer. That means output 1+2 share a common ground plane, as do 3+4, and 5+6 etc. This is not too big of a deal, but its good to be aware of. The more important aspect to consider for isolation is the fact that the wall power coming in is galvanically isolated from the pedal power supply section. This should eliminate 99% of all PSU noise.

THANK YOU!!! ... so they are isolated in pairs. i don't understand why they wouldn't use a Linear power supply adapter, and get the isolation there first; then they could have two "blue" transformers, and make the whole thing ground loop-less.

Main reason is cost. This is a discontinued model, their newer ones are all fully isolated now

great video! I wonder what you think of the Vitoos DD series power supplies, they look promising, however, I can't find a review as complete as you do, it would be great if you could make a video about it. Greetings from Paraguay

Researched those models, they look good but no one has done a video or picture showing the inside PCB. Can't seem to find them for sale here in the USA however.
can you list recomended cheap power supply with no problem sir
does this mean there are only 5 truly isolated outputs?
