I like the forecasts with rain in them better that these horrible hot temps forecasts, lol.

I do as well, when they come during the proper season. As he mentioned, a rain forecast after this amount of heat drives up the chances for lightning storms and those are absolutely not a good thing to have in the forecast after 2 weeks of California being baked alive.
Micheal so glad your procedure went well! Thanks for the update 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the update on your surgery, you know we were all thinking positive thoughts for you...
I’m getting gym time in early. It’s partly cloudy with some monsoon haze in Palm Springs🌴🌵about 100F at 10am👋. Glad your procedure went well and it’s behind you Michael. 👍
I am so ready for winter!!!!! Michael glad your procedure went well!!! Take care of yourself. ❤
113 yesterday officially in Redding. 114 at my house in northwest Redding. 113 forecasted for today. 110 tomorrow with a chance of thunderstorms. I’m not even going to get into how many days consecutively above 100 degrees we had in Redding.

Bless you for coming here to do a weather update after lithotripsy! I hope you heal well and get rid of those kidney stones. I live in Mendocino County and there is no in depth weather analysis for our region. Thanks for the possible heads up of dry lightening in the Northern Coastal Mountains. I remembered that the last time we had hot weather like this the thunder boomers came in.
I don’t think I’d be able to talk so clearly and fast if I was on pain meds. You’re amazing.praying for your continued healing.
Hope you recover quickly! Thank you for the best weather information on KZread!
Get well soon! Good choice switching to the circle with the small arrow.
Love the clouds and smoke haze here in Wrightwood, keeping the temp down a little !!! Thx Michael take care 😊
Wishing you Full Healing and Speedy Recovery !! Thanks for showing up and forecasting for us today, much needed in these unprecedented times for us firefighters on the ground here in California. 🙏🙏🙏 Get Well ❤️🩹
Glad your surgery went well.
So glad your procedure went well, Michael. My husband went through that and it was no fun. Take care!
happy to hear procedure went well. here’s a tip…to prevent those nasty stones from forming, drink lemon water…it really works!
Michael you’re such a trooper. Glad your procedure went well and I hope you continue to feel better and better. Personally I’m feeling an especially intense kind of cabin fever here near Sacramento. Starting to hate air conditioning almost as much as the hellish heat. At least we can water at night and try to save a few plants. 🌱 Thanks for your awesome reports on our beleaguered state.
Glad you’re okay and still Tubing, Michael. We in Sacramento have a delightful, overcast, morning: such a relief!
It is so humid.

Not here. North San Joaquin valley and the humidity is around 20%. What part of Cali you in that's got humidity right now?
Yeah things are cooling but the humidity is going up just can't get a break. Bring on the Monsoon
Excellent presentation !
Could you please show central California/Kern county when you give the weather reports. Ive noticed its only Northern California or San Diego areas that you show. Thank you Michael!

Sac area SF, LA all major cities give tv news freq thorough wx but its all focused on them. Sonora north of Fresno, Kern, 395 corridor and North of Sac- Eureka remain neglected or blind spots. Atleast NOAA does fair forecasting per zip but nothing big picture like Michael's explanations.
Thanks for the update Michael and so glad all went well with your procedure. Get the rest you need so you can get back to the Dust Devil chasing! 😊
THANKS. ..TAKE CARE!!
Mr. Tough Guy Weather Man!!! Keep the good stuff going...!
In Port Hueneme and we just had a few minutes of light rain around 8am and I even heard a boom of thunder
I made the mistake of going to Palm Springs on Monday thru Thursday. O M G 124F. I'm glad to be back in San Diego although it was cloudy Friday.
Monsoon season! But no rain in San Diego just muggy and very uncomfortable.
Be well
Cold and foggy here southern Oregon coast with clearing late afternoon.
Look at THAT! 25.7! Currently overcast in Pomona. Temps in the 80s
Had been quite hazy for days in Anza borrego area
oh the monsoons......soon in socal as well

112 in Placerville today 🥵
Hope u feel better!
7/13 13:30 Adin Ca. Thunder and cloud to ground strikes SSE.
Can you speak a little bit about the persistent June gloom, and when it might lift. Those of us in San Diego coastal areas would like to know more about the coastal low clouds and when they retreat. It has been a very gloomy summer so far and we are looking for some relief. No heat wave so far at the beach.
Redlands Ca feels slightly muggy but nothing bad at all
Just had a sudden burst of warm rain and thunder in Ojai.
Los Angeles Co. is between North California and San Diego .

@@RippieFarmer I know, I know I've lived in So. Cal all my life. but I mostly hear about Northern Cal and then San Diego !!! and yes we are between North Cal. and San Diego anyway you look at it.
@RippieFarmer
25 күн бұрын
@jstwntmusic yeah... but the way you said it kinda made it sound like LA was the center point between San Diego and NorCal and it definitely isn't. I'm in what is arguably the very bottom of NorCal and LA is 6 hours drive time south of me. Then another 90 minutes to get to San Diego.
@jstwntmusic

@@RippieFarmer It was just a way to get Michael's attention, I hear all about No. Cal. in detail, then jumps to San Diego, I would be interested in hearing more about what is going on between those two points.
@RippieFarmer
25 күн бұрын
@jstwntmusic well, part of the reason you don't hear a lot about that in-between area is cuz your weather climate in that pocket is typically pretty stable. If a monsoon hits San Diego it's going to move east afterwards and not north to LA. If a massive storm slams into NorCal it's likely gonna move east before the grapevine and not impact LA. When the weather is going to severely impact or threaten LA it gets talked about, it just doesn't happen often.

I have not noticed a heat subsidence in Fresno, CA. This is the first year I have EVER heard that CA had a monsoon season. I am 78 years old and never heard or seen that reference until 2024. The term monsoon to me indicates heavy rains and muggy heat. Fresno doesn't get rain in the summer as a rule and it isn't very humid though there is more humidity these days due to all the people moving here from LA and SF.
@Campzzyzx

People moving from LA and SF brought humidity with them? What about people from other parts of the world,do they briing similar or different weather patters? Asking for a friend
@brookswilson1072
26 күн бұрын
@@Campzzyzx Yes, in the form of more pollution; i.e., cars; swimming pools being built, the necessity for ponding basins to recharge the aquifers, the heat generated by more houses, machines and "civilization," etc. Yes, some come from other areas and countries, but I believe that most are from the LA and SF areas. I grew up in Fresno in the 1950' - 60's. The population then was about 80,000 and Clovis next door had probably a tenth of that. Now Fresno has close to 550,000 and Clovis about 125,000+. Humanity changes things as it grows. Yes, that's the way of things, but I wish it wasn't.

Monsoon is 50% of annual (typical) rainfall within 3 months. That may not apply to Fresno but it does to the sw region.

Most of California has a Mediterranean climate, the southwest monsoonal flow stays generally to the east, but will occasionally head over us. My forecast for Fresno would be virga at best.
@jhrobbins97
25 күн бұрын
There’s a monsoon season, when there is potential for monsoons to occur. Everyone knows ca is Mediterranean but every few years there’s a strong flow of moisture that can make it further north. Not that big of a deal
👍
👍thx
I can’t believe I’m looking forwards to 104 🥵
That monsoon business is not good news, any wind from the south will cause the Shelly Fire to move north into areas that haven't been burned in quite some time. I'm in Fort Jones, I helped with the evac and got put on the list of blockade runners, before today they said don't come back, now it is if you come back....
