April 21,2022, hundreds of Sri Lankan Catholics across Southern California marked the third anniversary of the coordinated 2019 bombings in Sri Lanka on the Easter Sunday, three years ago (on April 21, 2019 )that killed 269 and injured many. They held a memorial mass and Candlelight vigil at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Anaheim, California where many Sri Lankan Buddhists,Hindus and Muslims participated.
The mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier who was from Negombo, currently at the Catholic Church in Frazier Park California.
They demand the Sri Lankan government uncover the real conspirators of simultaneous bombings during Easter celebrations. Apart from the people killed in the bombings, many of those who were injured are still struggling to move on with their lives; some are maimed and paralyzed for life. the Sri Lankan Government is still dragging its feet on delivering justice.
