can the mailing address be out of state?

Hi Ginny, any updates on those of us who were sent a letter saying we need to pay back unemployment benefits? Account is still showing a negative balance, but haven't received any correspondence from the EDD since. Are the states forgiving those repayments?

No, that would be something unique to your own situation that you have to handle with the EDD by appealing the decision or paying the overpayment - that will not be forgiven. I have many videos on my channel home about appeals and overpayments.

Because your city and the state operate differently, you can register an LLC first to ensure that your LLC name is granted and then register for your business license and other requirements with your city after as the next step.

Correct that first year of waves $800 fee will go to 2022. You may want to consider wiating until the new year if that is a deciding factor for you

Thank you for all of the helpful information. I have question I hope you can help me answer. Our business is ran from our home (online business) which is outside of the city, we're in a county area so that is where I requested the business registration/ license BUT our virtual address is in a different city ( very close by). Should I have gotten the license/ registration from the city where our virtual address is located? The virtual address is also what I plan to use on our LLC... All that to ask, should a business license be held in the city where the virtual address is attended and is listen on LLC or where our home is located and online business is ran? You must choose one consistent business location and register your business to that location. You can then choose a diferent mailing address on some documents which request a mailing address, but your business location registered address must all be consistent. If using a virtual address, make sure it isn't simply a virtual mailbox - but an a virtual address/office which specifically states you are allowed to use it in your business registration. You can use a home address - but it will be on public record.

Visit calgold.ca.gov, enter in your location, and the search results will include the office/website for your county's DBA or fictitious business name application. It is usually done through the county clerk recorders office.

@user-rc9yl8xb2x DBAa are registered on the county level, and LLCs are state level. In order to use a name exclusively nationwide you would need to get the name as a registered trademark with the US parents offocw

Excellent video, but the background music drives me nuts!!! It's way to loud and frankly, it's totally unnecessary. It's totally distracting from what you are saying. What's the hurry in talking and editing??? For example at the 2:33 mark, you cut off the next word!!! The word 'fee' is missing! You're in soooo much of a hurry that you're actually cutting off words. People need time to digest what you are saying. It's like shoveling more food into their mouth before they have had a chance to chew and swallow what's they're already chewing. Please take this in a constructive way. I appreciate and applaud your fine work, but it can be made much better by slowing down and pausing between sentences or ideas. I would seriously think of remaking this video. Thanks.

Hmm...I get much more negative feedback on a slower pace - that majority comments that I am "talking down to them" at a slower pace. You are welcome to adjust the playback speed on the KZread player to a slower speed. Best wishes!

If you slowed wayyyy down, then I could see how people would feel like you're talking down to them, but I'm sure there's no way they would think that if you matched the average speed or cadence of the average informative KZread video. Take for example, videos by Dr. Eric Berg or Dr. Turley. They don't talk exceptionally fast of close cut their edits, they pause and are perfectly understandable. No one has said they feel 'talked down to' in their videos. I hope what I'm saying can help. I could have stood by and said nothing, but I really want to do what I can to see your channel be the best it can be because there's a great benefit in your advice. People need time to mentally digest what's said. Just my two cents worth. Take Care.
