90 meals a week??? You're not going to make a profit unless you sell those meals for $20+ ea

Or there may be a loophole with the term "meal". Two tacos do not count as meal for me. So it could be 90 meals a week minimum, but sell as many "sides" and add-ons, which you could get better margins on those

@houchi69 Very true. There are lots of loopholes that the city will never enforce anyhow.

Doesn't seem like this gives a pathway to do business legally, the only things they want to change is to increase the weekly amount of meals from 60 to 90, and to increase the gross sales from 50k to 100k, which sounds like a huge increase but the reality is if you're maxing out meals, and 60 or 90 meals ain't that much in a week the difference is between $16 per meal and $21 per meal. Unfortunately enterprises like the one above tends to be more on the maximum volume -> maximum customer model, as opposed to highest quality -> minimal customers

Terrible idea. Im assuming this is only allowed for detached single family houses. If not, id hate to be the neighbor that has to deal with the smell and the noise. Even for single buildings, the neighbors would have to deal with increased traffic and parking. Also, whos going to enforce the 90 meals per day limit since most will make it cash only to evade tax. It will never be sanitary, and attract rates and roaches. Awful idea

@@xcqematic1 Everyone in every comment section is calling people knitters, go back to where you came from. Would you have got the government involved when Bill Gates was starting a business in his garage,?🤔🙄 Of course not. He is providing food to the hungry and feeding his family. Things you take for granted and hate on others for. It's about entitlement. Are you not white? Just like your comments justifying the SF employee destroying the vendor food cart. You have hate in your heart and direct it towards Hispanics. You've exposed your bias.

@@xcqematic1 Again, it's all about me me me, that's all I hear. What you don't get is that when your neighbors thrive, they aren't committing crimes against you to survive. These cook from home restaurants are very common in South American, and people make them work. Yes, there will increased traffic in your neighborhood. Yes, their will be increased noise. But this is why there will have to be set hours this is legal, and then you have the ability to call the cops if they ignore said hours. Don't want noise? Live in an more excluded place. Especially in any city, you can't expect no noise from 9am to 6pm. That's just part of city life, and even densely populated suburbs. Again, you should want your neighbors to thrive, push them into poverty and then wonder why things are disappearing from your back yard.
