California collected 280 BILLION dollars in 2023, the vast majority of which paid for by the 1 percent living there. They also GREW in population for the first time since 2019 by 67,000 residents, so yes people were leaving but more people are coming in and taking their place. I think they’ll do okay without a couple of retirees.

Live in California and would be gone in a minute if not for having a Adult Disabled Child Custody Support Order. Horrible place to live if you are not established in your home already and have enough income to support your family on the cost of food and daily utility costs. We love very frugally but always have. We have no idea how any young people can afford to buy homes in our area where a 940 sq ft house sells for over 1 million dollars. That is the value of our home in the city of Orange, California. We could buy this same type home in our favorite retirement place for about $170,000.....

Our upper part of Cali is RED clean & nice (where Newpolosi lives) the red voters are fleeing hoping to find some non fraudulent places to live, vote & raise families !!

Try starting a business there. Total nightmare. You get "fees" for everything like Fire, Water, Police... INcluding taxes for the same. The fees are just extras. They also tax you on all your property your business owns EVERY YEAR. HORRID. Even non profits are crushed there.

NEWSOME SCREWED IT UP IN THE FIRST PLACE!

They voted for him now they're getting it.

I live in CA and it is too late for our state.

Since everyone fled California Conservative Republicans are outnumbered 2 to 1 so while it is futile I always recognize the importance of exercising my right to vote. North Dakota is full of opportunities. My wife got most of her nursing degree paid for by her employer. Whet from a phlebotomist to RN. Then we kicked out the money for her to get her Nurse Practitioner. I'm an Engineer. This year our income is skyrocketing. Cost of living is relatively low.
