Calibrating the Mooney-Rivlin Model
Ғылым және технология
This video explains how in theory the Mooney-Rivlin model be calibrated to monotonic uniaxial tension data. I also explain why in most practical situations this is not a great idea.

Hello! Is it some possible physical interpretation for the C10 and C01? these fitting parameters are connected with some properties?
Hello, small supplementary question, how does the software find E and σ from the curve? thank you very much. because i know how to calculate σ (F/S) but the section is never fixed. and to find E, on a tensile curve of a metal I know, but not in the case of an elastomer. good afternoon
Can the same logic of this video be applied to a 3 parameters Mooney-Rivllin Model ? Or are the findings unique for two parameters only? (Also Uniaxial)
how does the mooney rivilin hold up in compression case if have used only tensile test data for calibration ? (appreciate your efforts)

If you calibrate the Mooney-Rivlin model to 2 (or more) different loading modes (e.g. uniaxial tension + shear), then it should also work reasonably well for compression.
Hello, What are the sources of all these formulas? (I've created a topic on the PolymerFem forum on the subject). Thank you for your time, your video helps me a lot.

I use (and recommend) my book on the topic: "Mechanics of Solid Polymers", published by Elsevier.
