Underrated comment lmao. Pretty much all the older gen game/pc systems hahaha. Best part is this code is a sweet cheat code I tried it on my whirlpool and it absolutely gets you into the settings menu I was sketched out lmao. Down 4 click start and boom it did a minute +- water cycle and shut off. I wasn’t having any issues with mine but had to try it lol.

I’m not sure but this made me start to cry. I feel so overwhelmed by everything! I’m 60, old, alone. Broke. My GE Top load Washer Stopped spinning. The space it’s in is so small. I have no family no friends so no one to help me move it, then watching this it went so far over my head. I feel so totally defeated. I can’t believe it took till how old I am now to learn it needs to be calibrated! I’ve never even heard of this! Sigh 😔

What you probably don't know is the Clinton administration gave manufacturers a deadline to phase out mechanical timers on washers, because in thier minds it was eco friendly, basically so you can't fill with hot water, you can set it on hot, it will start to fill with hot but once the lid locks you'll hear the water sound change, that's the machine switching the hot off and on & the cold on. Thank you democrats

If you have one of those washers. Immediately go out and find an old direct drive washer with a drum in good condition and throw that new garbage away. The new ones NEVER actually get your clothes clean, and are built so cheaply they will NEVER survive past the 10 year mark. Get a thirty year old one, clean and service it (about $70 in parts) and it will work perfectly for another 30 years.

I’ve done a re-set, and now I’ve done the recalibration twice but the lights don’t flash, they stay on solid. I give up. It’s still under warranty so I’ll let the repair tech deal with it.

I've been inspired to download my washers manual and read it again.

My nan has the one you showed that won't stop draining and refilling for like 45mins, tbf they where 400$ like 10 years ago for the washer and dryer that ISNT having a stroke.

Might do this to the work washers because sometimes they shake violently when doing towels

Had no idea this was a thing. We've got to start reading these instructions.

You have to wait till the machine is full and then reach in between the tub and the body to get the booklet. So, no! you're not going to find these instructions in your user manual.
