I remember back in 2004 to 2007 when Valencia, Hart, and Canyon Country were unstoppable. That boy JJ Diluigi was tearing it up in the state championship game. The good old days before high school football in SoCal became a business. Raised the level of the game in SoCal though. It use to just be 2 to 4 d1 prospects on a team, now you got private schools like Bosco with 40+ d1 recruits and public schools like Cen10, Mission Viejo, and Los Alamitos with 20+ d1 recruits.

go all the way back to the '69 cif champ(on youtube) game between Amat,Blair at the coliseum --the great Pat Haden,who won two National championships at USC and the Blair pair--Blair went undefeated that year,13-0--Amat scored only on broken plays,the Blair defense was tough led by #74--so was Amat using a stacked defense to counter Blair's offense--6 players went pro off those two teams after college--many players went usc,ucla and other college-Blair won by 1 point--the next year Amat won cif in a tied game by having one yard more of offense than Lakewood(tiebreaker)-those high schools kids look like college guys with no fatties slugs running around like todays teams
