    Very exciting! That will definitely be a tough time of year to move just because it will be the start of winter, but there is lots to do indoors! And when summer arrives you’ll see how pretty all the nature is ☺️

  • @morganberna

    @jackstrange I think that depends more on where you’re moving from and your budget. We are in a housing crisis and don’t have rent control (my own rent went up $300/month this month), but it is still cheaper than some other Canadian cities like Vancouver/Toronto.

  • @JackStrange

    @JackStrange

    @@morganberna the rent control scares me! At least Van and Toronto(?) have that 🤔 it’s good to know so I can consider! I lived in Van but moved back because of the high costs

    @morganberna

    @@JackStrange yes it’s definitely scary! It wasn’t bad when there were a lot of options, but it’s tricky to find vacancies right now so most people I know have just had to accept whatever their landlords decide. That being said, I do still love the city! It just isn’t how it was as far as affordability a few years back.

    I moved around a lot in Canada, from Montreal to Toronto to Vancouver to Victoria. I am currently living in Victoria and lived here for about 7-8 years with my family. And now I'm planning to move to Calgary for its affordability and easier access to family doctor. This video has given me a lot of good information to make that decision. If you were to start a family, where you would live? North West area or South West/East area (such as Mahogany)?

    Hi! I work in marketing and do freelance copywriting as well, so I have done a mix of remote work and worked for some companies in town. I've always found work here. I suppose it depends on your industry, but I see lots of marketing positions posted currently (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.). Most people I talk to do need to apply for quite a few jobs before hearing back (myself included).

    9:10 “Politically”, you have some growing up to do and in time will realize, “politically”, why you have found Calgary, Alberta, is better overall. Free-thinking, independent-minded, right-wing politics is what is attracting Canadians to Calgary & Alberta. It is well-known by now that the adult brain does not fully develop until 25-35 years old.
