Calgary Police searching for vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run over long weekend
Police say the man in his 70s was walking northbound along 47 Street crossing Memorial drive, and was then struck by a vehicle going eastbound on the same street

They're looking for the driver, not the vehicle.
This is so inexcusable and sadly brings back bad memories of a similar incident from some nearly 20 years ago for me. I hope they're found and charged.
thats a brutal looking crosswalk

I hate when the driver flees the scene of a hit and ran instead of calling 911 and remaining at the scene to try to help

Does this happen to you often?
Speed may have been a factor? I think stupidity, lack of foresight, impaired driving (whether mental or physical) and lack of remorse (possibly mental illness) should be mentioned more commonly than speed as this may educate people on real risk factors.
Driver must be a teen who stole parent's vehicle.
What's in this commentators mouth? Sounds like?

To be honest, it sounded more AI than east Indian.
Why can't we have Canadians on the news who speak with a Canadian English accent...? Am I in the UK, or India...??? Even in the Maritimes we get news readers who speak standardized Canadian English, not Cape Breton English, eh b'ye..??

Thumbnail + title makes it seem like they are looking for a white hatchback. Then you find out they are not looking for a vehicle since it was abandoned after the incident. Reporter showing no emotion or condolences extended to the victim of this crime. This report is terrible.
