I have lived in Vancouver for 3 years and I don’t like it and I do NOT miss it one bit. It always rains, it’s depressing, slippery road in winter, it’s colder than Calgary because it’s wet. It’s gross.

Moving to Calgary end of December, but I think I can handle this. Thanks for your great insight, it's truly helped me tremendously. I wish I could shake your hand!

Used to live in Calgary between 2012 and 2014.Spent 2 lovely winters.I do NOT miss it at all (only a few good friends) Only moving back if I get paid for "pain and suffering" ( for just moving back : seriously) Sad ,boring and depressing city with it's brutal long winters.Keep the good work !

Calgary isnt cold. Try living in winnipeg or fort mcmurray. For mac reaches -50 and winnipeg is -20 with bone ripping wind that never stops and feels even colder because of windchill that just never gives you a break. Alberta has warm periods and calm sunny weather often. -20 in the sun with dry still air with no wind is nothing.

hi ajay. i need some info on healthcare in alberta. its a deciding factor if to move here . can you help. since covid i have been in out of hosp for diff reasons and really need to know what i will be getting myself into.

All wheel drive AND winter tires. If you just have AWD but shitty tires you will eventually run into trouble. Good tires are way more important than AWD. They are the ones preventing you from skidding when braking in winter and getting decent grip.

Public transport is good in downtown area. For other places in Calgary, I would suggest you ll Need a vehicle sooner or later.
