Caleb Williams impresses in camp, Will Dak Prescott's new contract break records? | NFL | THE HERD

Спорт

Chicago Bears HC Matt Eberflus said that he was “very impressed” with Caleb Williams in camp. Colin Cowherd and Danny Parkins discuss the expectations on Williams and the Bears, and if Dak Prescott will sign a record-breaking contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Plus they discuss the outrage behind Bronny James being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers.

    Thank you, Danny! This was a fair take on the Green Bay tenure between 2012 and 2020. The Packers were really bad after the championship defense became old and was never replaced with fresh talents. McCarthy cost us several NFC Championship games with Favre and Aaron. Lafleur, too, made one of the biggest playoffs mistakes ever when he decided to kick a FG on the 8 yard line against Tom Brady with 1:25 left on the clock! Packers were always good but seldomly great those years.

  • @McMyerz223

    @McMyerz223

    26 күн бұрын

    🎯Exactly.. Had to go back and copy a comment I left on another video: I don't give af what anyone else says, Rodgers was surrounded by a lot of mediocre talent on both sides of the ball. If there were above average receivers, then the line was spotty. If we had a decent line, then the receivers were slipping. Aaron Jones was really the only good RB we had. Defense was all over the place with questionable schemes throughout his career in GB. McCarthy's play calling became stale and easily read during his last years. Haters can point the finger at Aaron all they want, Green Bay let him down and he should have 2 rings at the very least. I MIGHT have missed 5 games total during his time with us, I saw everything I needed to make this claim. And now for the rest of eternity, we get to hear "iF hE wAs sO tAlEnTeD, wHy DiD hE oNlY gEt OnE?" Most accurate QB to ever walk on the field. Shame on us.

    The Bears GM has been trying to build a great team in Pittsburgh for some time now. He began by giving them the first pick in the 2nd round (which Pittsburg cashed in for Joey Porter Jr.) for a WR no one wanted in Chase Claypool, and then followed it by gifting them Justin Fields (a QB they traded two 1st round picks as well as a 3rd for) for a 6th round pick. If he stays there, I can see him giving Caleb Williams to the Steelers for a 7th round pick 3 years from now.

If Russ still sucks, they have Fields. If Russ is good, Fields contract goes up at the end of the year and they toss him.Even with all the money they saved at Qb, they're the worst team in their division. Bears have been making moves, but they're too mismanaged to do anything with them.

    I'd never heard of Danny Parkins until this week, but he's really good! I enjoyed his personality, his knowledge and his opinions. I used to really like Nick Wright, but his ego and arrogance over the past few years has really turned me off. Parkins, in my opinion, showcased to the sports world that he's ready for a bigger platform if he wants it.

    Came back to say; Rodgers is definitely an all time great. Rings are the arguments that need no words, but we can see his talent clear as day. His problem is his off field tendency to be obnoxious. AB is an all time great, but he will be relatively forgotten due to his off field antics. Tell the guy to shut up n play some ball

As you also have to remember that most of Dak Prescott stats come when the Cowboys are in such a deficit the opposing team is playing prevent.

    He has zero faith that the Cowboys can "figure it out". But they did that very thing with Romo by drafting Dak in the 4th. Considering they got Lance for a 4th I think any thing is possible in that department. And secondly, while he's right about the post season success, McCarthy deserves credit for getting the best out of Dak last year. They got Dak ready when Romo went down, McCarthy and Co can do it with Lance or a rookie next year.

    Fields going for a 6th rounded was the bears fault they waited till spots were filled up. Plus everyone knew they were picking Caleb which lowered their leverage a lot. Now ask yourself why would they hurt themselves like that? Well it sure makes the trade go down easier doesn’t it. See it’s not us the league values low(even though the Steelers had interest in February)

    Rodgers is an all time talent, but his inability in crunch time - in the playoffs - is why this is even a debate. So yeah I think he’s a HOF guy but he’s not like a top 5 all time QB. I would still put guys like Brady, Montana, Manning, Elway, and even Mahomes ahead of him (just guys I’ve seen play so sorry to guys like Bradshaw and Staubach who older guys might put ahead of him as well)
