Unfortunately, they are supposed to lose. Cale literally solved all fatal problems they have that will make them lose. He is the helm and the navigator. Choi Han and company (everyone to be exact) are supposed to die at the hands of white star (that thing that turned to dust) that is what future Og!Cale saw (or old Cale since they decided to live as Cale and Rok Soo forever).
