Here the crankshaft balance factor is calculated for a single cylinder crankshaft.
The balance factor is what determines the vibrations on your bike.
The example here is for a Lambretta, but will work for any single cylinder 2 stroke engine.
At the end of the video we compare the balance factor of an old crankshaft to it's replacement.

Seems that the bigger diameter piston weight didn't affect the original balance factor , how is it a new improved conrod is lighter than the old, saving your bacon? Materials or , different design ? lol
Can u share knowledge about engines with counter shaft . How should they be balanced?? Overbalanced or underbalanced ..for drag race engines
Hello I believe i understand 90%. But again what do you do if its not correct. I seen videos were they drilled to remove metal. And lets say your starting from another factor. There was no crank but you purchase a new one. And you want to check it to make sure it right. . Thanks enjoyed your video but again still not understanding.
This is for vertical machine or horizontal machine sir?
