@5:25, the standard deviation there is for ungrouped data. Should have done the "sx" or key 4, thats the one for grouped data :)

I think you meant for a sample variance And the reason for sample variance is because most provided datas are samples

You could also get mean by [shift]+1, than 4: Var, than 2: x
