    I watched 2 videos from KZread to clear this concept... One was around 30 mins long... And it just talked about the high spin complexes and didn't clear half my doubts. And the second was 3 mins long and cleared every doubt I had about this concept... Moral: Oxford is Oxford...

    What does magnitude mean when it comes to equations of a complex in a stepwise formation? and from doing the LFSE calculation, how does one deduce whether it is labile or inert?

    +rydonwunali it is labile if there is at least 1 e in the eg orbital, or if there is is an empty t2g orbital. it is inert or non labile if the t2g orbitals are full, so essentially 3 e would fill it
