Hey man, I just wanna say i love your energy and enthusiasm, you are basically what i wanna be in the future, im still a PPL student, but just reading through a320 FCOMs, FCTMs and QRHs just for the fun of it, stumbled through your channel, and i wish you would be my future flight instructor bruh. Respect from Germany brother

Damn that little .3 of padded luxury added to the mileage really does make for a very finesse approach! Heck that little profound tip can be applied anytime we want to make adjustments to the vertical speed even throughout a STAR just incase vnav fails where we enter any descent from a level flight! Brilliant!

Good Day Mr Joe, is there any button on MCP Boeing 737NG to switch on/off FPV flight path vector during approach?

Hey Joe I’m a 777 FO soon to be upgrading to CA in the 320. I’ve never flown it. I’m aware the transition will be a challenge for me. I’ve peeked at a couple of your videos and I’ve been impressed. Regarding this technique ( without having a clue how FPA interconnects and works for you with the bus - I’ll assume you set it on the FCU? and you always set the exact decent angle prescribed by the specific app? ) but what happens with this math if there are altitude constraints in between your location and the FAF that could be violated by your 3 degrees ( or whatever it is ) decent angle? Also, it’s typical in DFW to be held quite high. You could easily be held up at 6k around YOHAN on 18R. Let’s assume that. Based on your technique 6000-2400=3600= 3.6x 3=10.8+.3=11.1 So I’d set NETEE in the prog page and as soon as I see 11.1 miles ( wherever that’s presented on the bus ) I’d then select -3 degrees on the FPA switch and start down. What if I’m already inside that 11.1 distance ? Just use speed brakes ? How would I know I’m back on the 3 degree path descending from above it in this case ? Also you mentioned the yoyo only works FAF inbound. Your technique is used to get you from wherever you are positioned - then once cleared for the approach via a 3 degree decent profile ( while honoring intermediate alt constraints ) to the FAF in which you can then transition to the YO-YO until DDA or landing ?

You could but should (if possible) have an airport vor freq. in nav 2 , usually on final down leg. which can be used to get your horizontal distance (DME) and do the 1/3 rule to get to 3%

    As i prefer this method MDA= 2760 RUNWAY elevation = 2368 MDA - runway elevation ÷ 300 = 1.3

Dude you need to flap your guns less and not wing and ding your delivery. Is this a non precision approach? You don’t explain that. I want to pay for your content but the free stuff is confusing and not planned well.

LOC = Non-precision. We don't dive and drive in the airlines, Exactly as he said in the video. Hope that helps
