I had so much trouble that I ended up searching endlessly on the wiki page just to figure out what setups were the best. Through that, I learned that the speed of which he dashes is calculated to ALWAYS be faster than the player's speed. No matter how much distance you make, he always catches up.

In revengeance mode, I died 24 times in total to Yharon, Phase 1 and 2 combined. Supreme Calamitas took me only 125 deaths.

to be honest, i dont think people understand how missunderstood yharim is. his family was killed only because the elder brother wasnt being good. it honestly comforts me that yharim has his dragon. although if i were there, then i would try and steer yharim away from the dark path. in an AU for the calamity mod yharim does the complete opposite as to what the official calamity mod lore says.

Calling Yharim misunderstood is just kinda... wrong. Sure you might have a case for the start of his story, but then he went on to order genocide multiple times, tortured enough people to death that their souls became an amalgam of hatred and hunger, and has carelessly released multiple weapons of mass destruction upon the world, either directly (dragonfolly) or through employing and funding the violently insane Draedon. He is just about as close to pure evil as a character can get, and no amount of tragic backstories can atone for that

So does anyone also listen to phase 2 of Yharon's theme, the lyrics of his theme is his dying message to Yharim telling that he shouldn't fight the player being us, seeing how powerful we are. His message is for Yharim to hide from us if he is to die by our hands seeing that they both underestimate our power.

The Calatimy devs must add Yharim as the final boss of this mod. Like Supreme Cal, he should have lots of phases with diolauge in between them talking to the player about how all of this started and will summon a random main boss like Supreme cal, (a lot weaker) Yharon, (also weaker) and sometimes normal vanilla bosses at completely random times. Every time he summons a boss, the backround and time of day will change to the exact time you fought that boss the first time in the world. After you defeat him, he will drop a peice of the mod's lore. With this, you can craft all Calatimy bosses' lore together into the full puzzle. Using it will make a book appear on your screen and will let you read it. It will describe the entire lore and will describe EVERYONE'S backstories. Yharim will also drop some op weapons and another book that lets you summon any boss you want for 1-50 platinum. This book can be used as many times you want! For Yharim's summoning item, it's ingredients are dropped by the main characters. (Devourer of Gods, Yharon, and Supreme Cal)

It's really gut-wrenching knowing your quest to defeat Yharim really has no better alternative than "commit the same violence upon the world as Yharim did" in order to even cultivate the strength to face him. Yharon was innocent, yet killing him the only way to truly get Yharim's proper attention. DoG? That was the equivalent of giving a bear a suit of armor; it's a powerful animal that would bite the hand that feeds at any point. The Calamitas Clones? They're just failed experiments broken loose. Same with Plaguebringer. It's only when you kill Yharon that gets Yharim's attention. Calamitas and Draedon, his proverbial hands, are the only beings deliberately ordered by Yharim to kill you.

I didn't play the mod since I can only afford to play crack terraria (broke af) but damn thats make the phase 2 even sadder. Imagine hearing those final words from the only being that keeps you clinging to your sanity. Hearing it's acceptance even if you are a monster then hearing it die in agony by the hands of some 'hero'. He probably went insane... Man I guess death is the only mercy we can give to them. Yharim is the big bad of the mod

I hate that Yharon started singing to try and get Yharim to understand the gravity of his perilous encounter with the Terrarian. Compared to what Yharim did, we build up a town, make villagers happy, purge and fight the corruption, we build, and fight the terrors of the world. For example, we destroy skeletron, breaking the curse on the dungeon, then, we save the mechanic locked away beneath it's walls. We slay the eaters of worlds and forge weapons from it's scales, we make something beautiful from something dying and rotting away from the inside. When faced with a monstrosity in the underworld, we don't contain it, we eliminate it, releasing the captive spirits of light and dark upon the land, we then fight those forces and push them back, maintaining purity, or the hallow as we go... after we recover the key to the Temple, we go to the dungeon, fighting the strengthened forces there and killing off invasions of pirates and goblins, trying to kill our towns and villages. Then, we return to the temple, armed with the key to the door, and fight off the worshippers of Golem, a destructive ancient god, who was meant to contain the moonlord, or hide us from him. Thats when the cultists try to contain the moonlord, and in a desperate bid to keep us from eldritch annihilation, assault us, forcing us to eliminate them and pry the ancient manipulator from their hands. Then the pillars come from the sky, filling the world with death and destruction, alien invasions across the surface, thats when we push them back, infuriating the Moon Lord. At this point we would have ascended to near godhood, taking the fight to the threat of our universe, and just like that, the threat is vanquished and our world is safe. Yharim did the complete opposite, committing genocide, releasing plagues and killing with reckless abandon, his loyal dragon being basically conditioned to accept this as the norm, we HAD to eliminate him, he only knew death and destruction. It is sad, you euthanize someone's pet, but it is never done out of hatred for the beast itself, it is due to the cruelty of it's Master, Yharim. Yharim must die.
