I cannot get enough of this group. The energy that goes into their playing, singing, and dancing is infectious. The two girls are so pretty, their brother is an amazing musician, and everybody is having fun. What's not to love?

Funny how the girls are “pretty”, and the male has skills or talent. The girls seem to be pretty kick butt musicians. Maybe he’s the “pretty” one.

Katie is one of the best guitarists around. Actually, if you can Isolate each one individually, they are all great musicians, but, Katie has got to be the unsung hero of the guitar. Speaking as a 40 year player, I only aspire to her greatness. Thank you, ma'am, for your subtle, ever impressive style and flair, and for the inspiration to never become complacent. You guys rock!

In response to the reviewer of the video of "Big Mamou" on KZread, who claims that the members of L'Angélus are not "real Louisianans": Should we take a poll on who is a "real Louisianan?" The group hails from Lafayette, arguably the center of Cajun culture in Louisiana, if not the U.S.A., and these young musicians have roots in that culture. As for the reviewer's assertion that the members of L'Angélus are "Nashville-sounding frauds": Is this just some kind of ad hominem epithet hurled at music he doesn't like? Well, premier Cajun fiddler Hadley Castille played with L'Angélus, and you can see, and hear, the mutual enjoyment and musical respect between them in a KZread video, where they perform Castille's fiddle tune "Le Swing Cajun." It doesn't get much more "real" than this. The members of L'Angélus are very good musicians. I may not be partial to their Motown and Van Morrison excursions, but chacun å son gout; they deserve credit for these imaginative forays. Their excursion into contemporary bluegrass in their version of "Wait a Minute," written by Herb Pedersen and recorded by the Seldom Scene, is both moving and original in its interpretation. And when they do hymns, Cajun tunes, and original Cajun-tinged tunes (like "Ça C'est Bon"), they are a tight-knit, authentic, energetic, personable and entertaining group. Let's hear it for vocal and instrumental talent, youthful enthusiasm, and just plain fun! Oh yeah: Gen Xers also have things to say musically.

Love the song. But it's too bad the video editing was not so great. The videographer didn't include a lot of shots where the fiddler played some very good stuff, and more important, other than the refrain of the song. You can hear it in the background, but it would have been great to have actually seen the fiddler playing those parts.
