I can see how he would get that impression though, not knowing AB. Her delivery does seem a bit weird there. Like she didn’t really know how she was going to say it in the best way, so she chose a semi comedic approach and it came out a little wonky.

Can we talk about the shock of a female on ESPN actually “mostly” speaking kindly about CC and seeming to give her a positive spin? Still don’t think there was enough significance given to how amazing this game and win was overall though. 1. First Rookie triple double EVER in WNBA. 2. They came from behind with a BIG deficit in the 4th quarter (11 pts) to tie a record 3. They did ALL that against the NUMBER ONE TEAM. I felt this was so momentous I showed the highlights to my wife and 13 year old and made sure to set the scene. Made sure they watched it all. Elle’s lack of enthusiasm still makes this feel like she’s being dragged across the line to this momentous point in WNBA history.

@@jmckey elle has been very complimentary toward caitlin clark since she stepped in the w. was one of the people who defended her early season performances where she didnt do as well because of the adjustment period the actual issue here is her cohost trying to drum up some kind of drama and fan the flames saying AB was being shady, which led to elle having to divert from talking about CC's accomplishments, to having to defend AB and say 'no actually, this is completely genuine.' an example of how certain narratives are forcing the topic away from the actual basketball being played. if the cohost doesnt try to paint AB in a bad light, i'm sure elle has more to say about caitlin's accomplishment and the fact she did it against the number one team in the league, and for a win.

@@kellycognac12 I hope you are right, because I have tried to look for positive stuff coming out of ESPN from women, particularly women of color about CC, and it seems few and far between. Or at the very least reluctantly given when it should be effusive compared to what literally the whole rest of the internet and crowd reaction is. It’s serious making me question my liberal stances and whether some of these conservatives I’ve been ignoring have been right to some degree all along. It’s not a good look. It makes me feel like I’m slightly losing my grip on reality. Maybe I am. Hehe.

WHY DON'T YOU TALK ABOUT THIS???? Your own network gave us this highest IMPACT STAT CLARK is number 1 in the WNBA at 713 - over the best players in the league ESPN noted, Clark scored or assisted on 46 of the Fever’s 83 points on Saturday. Clark is still atop the WNBA’s points scored or assisted chart coming out of Sunday @ 713, too. Dallas’ Arike Ogunbowale scored 13 points and assisted four times to account for 21 points, while Las Vegas’ A’ja Wilson scored 28 points and had a pair of assists to account for 33 points. That brought their respective season totals up to 705 points scored or assisted on for Ogunbowale and 671 points scored or assisted on for Wilson. To be fair to Wilson and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu, the Fever have played two more games than the Aces and one more than the Liberty to date. Nevertheless, Clark being alongside those names is another indication of the magical rookie season she’s enjoying and a strong argument in the WNBA Rookie of the Year chase.

Elle needs to understand that at the beginning of the season and even still some recent games this is the Superbowl for the opposing teams playing the Fever. Look at how much defensive attention Caitlin got in the beginning of the season being picked up all the way at the other end of the court for inbounding. She has pushed through so much and it's only going to make her better. We're already seeing the results of that now. She's faced hazing in the beginning of the season from the other W players. She's also been the spotlight for the entire W and teams/players want to make a statement by bringing home the win against Caitlin and the Fever. The defense has calmed down some but she still consistently gets doubled and occasionally tripled. For her to have as much success as she is in spite of that and actually BECAUSE of that (because it's only increasing her level of skill as she's learning to navigate through this) shows her talent. Pure and simple.

I seriously don't care all that much about double doubles and even triple doubles. What I see is Caitlin making a lot of difficult, timely, pinpoint passing and her assists average going up. She is shooting at a lower percentage than expected though and not scoring as much as expected. But Caitlin can rebound, gets steals, sometimes gets blocks and does a lot in her usage. She and Boston are forming their own version of Stockton/Malone and Mitchell is the break down the defense one-on-one expert who, when getting passes from Clark late in the game, is knocking them down. So she gets her own shots or gets assisted shots. Lexi Hull provides solid defense and some intangibles and Temi is an agile big body that is something of an enforcer, something the team definitely needs. Clark overall has to extend her offense to the midrange but she has a lot of tools in her toolbox. If she gets high rebounds and high assists then she'll get the so-called "triple double" because 10 points is nothing for her. But mostly, Clark is a very high IQ player, something Skip Bayless doesn't seem to understand, and truly a borderline elite passer. Yes, she has TOs. High usage players tend to and she's just learning the league. So, they're not the big deal people make them out to be.

Angel Reese fans don’t go ballistic because someone doesn’t choose Angel for the ROTY award. The Kaitln Klark Klan wants to hurt people that doesn’t choose CC as ROTY. They need to chill out, this isn’t like talking religion or politics, the trailer park Trumper’s need to leave Caitlyn along, people don’t hate her, but they despise the hard right freaks who follow her.

Caitlin Clark ( GUARD ) season stats average so far 16.1 (PTS ), 7.4 ( AST rank 2nd ) , 88.9 (FT % rank 6th ) , 6.0 ( REB rank 18th ), 1.4 ( STL ) , 5.5 ( TO ) even with the turnovers CC is leading the ENTIRE WNBA in points generated at 713 very impressive just by itself. Angel Reese (FORWARD ) 14.1 (PTS ), 1.9 ( AST rank 54th ) , 11.9 ( REB rank 1st ) , 1.5 ( STL ) , 1.8 ( TO ). ( CC ast 7.4 rank 2nd to Reese 1.9 ast rank 54th / Reese 11.9 reb rank 1st to CC 6.0 rank 18th ) Caitlin Clark shows lots of diversity and has great overall court awareness not to mention she is outstanding in her passing CC is a better team leader spreads the ball around all her many assist prove that point and at the same time even though she leads in turnovers she also leads the ENTIRE LEAGUE in Most points generated.
