She is the best women’s basketball player of all time to this point, there currently is no one better than Caitlin Clark. Will there ever be another woman better? I don’t know, if there is it may be a while. And no…it’s not Angel Reese, she didn’t even have the most points on her team in the NCG plus she has a 2.0 GPA and the IQ of a potato. I feel bad for Angel Reese yes for the fact that she is a very stewp!d girl with very very low intelligence. However I think it’s great what Angel Reese can do for having special needs and what not.

I went to Auburn, and when I was there the women's team were 2nd in the NCAA 4 out of 5 years. I played pickup with them women a lot, and I have good skills. I am a 6'4" guy (played DIII basketball), and on Auburn women's team I could have started at shooting guard or small forward. I would've gotten CRUSHED inside, as center or power forward, as I am WAY too small. Even though their team was great, they had NO ONE who was even close in ability to Caitlin...NOWHERE close. She moves smoothly and effortlessly with the ball, and has the vision and passing ability like an NFL quarterback...AMAZING long-ball passes. Her long-distance shooting skills were WAY better than most guys playing college basketball. The only guy I saw in person/played against (pickup) who could shoot more long distance, easily, was Chuck Person. She could've started at shooting guard in the vast majority of guy's teams in today's college basketball (counting ALL the 4 year colleges, not just DI). She would be too slow to play point guard, and too small for small forward, but her shooting and passing is the key for the shooting guard position. We used to watch SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), who was DIII. They had a girl as backup point guard, as they had no women's team (brand new school). Caitlin could've started at point guard, shooting guard or small forward for them, and they would've won a ton more games. When I played DIII, we played at GA Tech and lost by 4...we led almost the whole game. If Caitlin played for us, as shooting guard, we would have won, EASILY, and that is true even though there was no 3 point line (and no shot clock). Two of my grandparents were from Iowa (my parents went to Iowa State), and my Michigan grandparent went to Iowa, where his uncle was Professor of Physics at Iowa. He did field events for Iowa Track and Field and qualified for the US Olympic Trials, but didn't have the money to get there by train, so couldn't go. I also used to know the Iowa VB coach. Good to see Iowa showcased...

@@leonardomoore1868 the ratings are actually up this year because of having some promotion. and thats with the little marketing they get. if they actually promoted it like the mens or actually put a full fledge effort into it then they would be way more popular like you stated. but they just kinda dip their toe in the water. i dont know how many highlight videos ive watched and either the scoreboard was nonexistent or they jump from 9 mins in the 4th quarter straight to overtime without showing how the game got sent to ot. its crazy. like you said they dont treat players well and dont promote the league how they should.

The Great ones make their team better, and Clark does that! And I have to add that I refuse to watch the NBA. I totally agree! It’s to the point where I can’t stand the NBA players. And as bad as the WNBA is in viewership, the players are really good, but they’re becoming more violent and the refs are calling less fouls. Plus the league consists of only 12 teams with no expansion in sight, so where is there room for new recruits?

I am a huge Iowa WBB & MBB fan. Caitlyn Clark and her teammates are an excellent example of a team that is playing a truly exciting brand of basketball and they have exceeded my expectations for how high this program could rise. That said I truly believe SC is unbeatable and will win another National title because they are the most complete team in women’s college hoops. I also think it speaks volumes about the sport that two truly amazing women lead both of these teams. Aliyah Boston is a lady we have seen rise from the tears of defeat a few years ago to the smiles and tears of joy last year and likely this year. And Caitlyn Clark and her team bring so much joy to the average viewer because of their exciting brand of basketball and incredible teamwork. All my life I have been a men’s’ college hoop fan and this is the first year I watched way more women’s’ games than I ever watched a men’s’ game. And here we are with LSU, VA Tech, Iowa, and SC for the final four winners left standing. There are no losers when you get to the Final Four and these are 4 great reps for the best women’s’ basketball has to offer and that speaks volumes in a year when there is no UCONN, Stanford, or Tennessee in the Final 4 and yet I can’t help but think how entertaining and great this weekend will be if there are 3 more close games and maybe an upset or 2. Lots of great other teams got beat along the way and I have become a huge Big 10 fan as a result (Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan, Maryland and of course Iowa and others all played incredible seasons and were awesome to watch). Congrats to Caitlyn Clark a well deserving Player of the Year Award Winner! Go Iowa!!! (But remember there are no losers in the Final 4 and all of these programs are great reps of the sport and deserving of the Title whether they win it or not.

WNBA rules on draft eligibility: 22 yrs old in year of draft or 4 years out of HS or "regular" college eligibility used up. She could possibly even finish her MBA with an extra 5th year of eligibility due to the COVID thing, make more in NIL than WNBA salary, AND play in front of, on average nearly 2x the fans as WNBA (Iowa averages almost 11k at home, she surely draws well on the road also, WNBA averages 5600). She's even mentioned the 5th year as a possibility. Her competitiveness however lends one to believe she'll go pro after next year (she should break the all time NCAAW scoring record next year regardless). She's definitely worth the price of admission!

I'm not even shocked, the biggest star in the NBA is a long in the tooth guy that's constantly pushed in a stupid (merit-less) debate with someone who hasn't bounced a ball in 20 years back when the NBA was actually popular. the guy has as many haters as fans, maybe more. the game is soft and the players have too much power anf mobility. not to mention this thing called "load management".

Women's college basketball is great because the WNBA requires women to be 22 years old or be on track to graduate a 4 year university to be eligible for the draft. Men of the same hypothetical skill and productivity as players like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Aliyah Boston, Hailey Van Lith, etc. would not be in the college game for long, if at all. But more than that, I don't know that there has ever been a player as skilled and productive as Caitlin Clark, at any level of basketball, and her dominance has drawn a lot of eyes to the sport.

The men’s college and pro game don’t seem as finesse or team oriented as they once were. Now it’s more of a slamming, in your face, power game with players being more selfish, violent, and angry. And mugging your opponents seem to be within the rules. Overall, players aren’t as likable or as charismatic as they were in the past. Yes, there’s a few like Lebron James and Steph Curry, but no one like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordon, Dr. J, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and more. As for the women’s college game, they have reached the phase where many teams have talent, the balls is passed with more precision and the scoring is more consistent. The three point game has gotten a lot better and there are an incredible amount of great play-making. With phenom Caitlin Clark soaring to new heights and the excitement of the women’s March Madness, this year’s final four is a doozy! What would’ve made it even better is if Uconn made it to the party with a healthy Paige Buecker and Azzi Fudd.

I sat on the Forum floor closer to Magic than anyone. I watched practices. For me, Caitlin is there or beyond (as a woman, huge for me). AND, she's not just playing ag bio males in "women's" sports x2 her height, size he also beat the men's college finals point record AND the pro NBA ratings. I've been OFF sports for many reasons. Caitlin restored my faith in sports again (then the "woke" racist political cr --- esp in the final game sabotaged it). Great it great in sports, regardless of color, sex or sport.

I have not watched the Pro game since Larry Bird hung it up .... and Caitlin is as close to that magic as there is ! GBjj

This next one, the Women's BB will ALSO have their own contract, so more money for the players...

Infamy and controversy is played out. The college women game is just pure ball and fundamental at that. Catlin Clark play like NBA players and she's fun to watch now because you don't really see women shooting like that. SC has a 6'5" a 6'7" (2) 6'4"s and (6) 6'1"s to 6'3". Not really out of sight big, plenty of teams can match their size. It's all their bigs can play perimeter defense and can jump. So they really just more athletic than everybody. As good as Clark is SC has about 6 girls that can guard her, 1 or 2 will give her fits.

"National" media makes me laugh. They are so myopic. Iowans for over 100 years have supported women athletes and in no way are surprised by the current value of women's college basketball. 3 of our 4 D1 universities had teams in the NCAA tourney this year. All 4 of these schools have strong programs, as do our smaller universities and colleges. National media has been grossly slow to realize this and is being laughed by lifelong fans when you make videos like this. Incredible, and very sad. Pull your heads out of the NFL's behind.
