Rami Attallah Was Born in Cairo in the year 1988, Rami Attallah grew to be one of the youngest jazz pianists on the professional musical scene in Egypt.
Rami is the grandson of the one and only Bib Henein- one of the godfathers of Jazz music in Egypt. He studied Jazz piano and theory of music under Mr. Rashad Fahim and classical piano under the Italian teacher Elide Dello Strologo. He also got the International Examinations Board Certificate for Piano and Music Theory from Trinity College of Music in London.
He evolved into becoming a successful and talented composer, having composed over thirty songs. He has also worked on tens of arrangements and side projects.
Rami working since 2018 as musical director and Pianist for Cairo Steps performed many Concerts in Germany / e.g. Prinzregententheater Munich , Kuwait / Shaheed Park and at Cairo Opera House
Cairo Steps merges and combines traditional Egyptian and oriental grooves with modern jazz improvisation, classical music and contemporary sounds. The music is influenced by spiritual ethnic music as well as European music traditions and alternates between strong unison rhythms, virtuoso solos and meditative soundscapes. The result is a unique music style and an exciting blend of various cultures. The ensemble has played numerous concerts in Egypt and Europe with musicians and artists from around the world including performances at Cairo Opera House in Egypt, Frankfurt „Alte Oper“ in Germany as well as international festivals and live TV shows.
