Cairnwell to Glas Maol Loop Glenshee
This loop walk in Glenshee takes in the five Munros The Cairnwell, Carn Aosda, Carn an Tuirc, Cairn of Claire and Glas Maol. The day started with clag which soon disappeared once the sun got to work.

Hi Kev, Yes, we were glad to get some clear tops as the forecast was driving us east. Glenshee is always a joy as your half way there when you got the car 🤣 Cheers
Sorry for late comment Charlie, just back from Glen Affric. That was a great leg stretcher Charlie and good to see weather improving as day went on.☀️👍 Always good to see young Michael out as well👍 When I did the Cairnwell trio think it was the worst rain I’ve had on a munro😂😂 Might have to return in winter to do them again. As always Charlie, great viewing and commentary. I’m not having much luck just now, cycled into Glen Affric hostel only to fall off my bike 100 yards from hostel and rolled down an embarkment a d batterd my ribs against a rock. Had to cycle home next morn without doing any munros😂😂

Hi Frank, You've certainly been in the wars lately, hope you don't have lasting pain with the ribs. It's a bit frustrating you didn't get any tops but your right to abort if not 100%. At least the ankle appears to be fine and I bet you would be happy with a straightforward couple of hill trips just to get backing the routine. Take care, Charlie

@@charliemccartney7055 cheers Charlie, ribs will be ok just bruising, just frustrating as I was so close to the hostel. Ankle is ok as I did the 4 eastern Fannichs the week before and no pain from the Ankles.

@@hikingwithfrank315 Great stuff, you just don't want injuries to niggle on. We keep hoping this unsettled weather will end but looks as if our summer was in June. Just got to get on with it 👍 Cheers
Good stuff Charlie, looked like a nice day out.

Hi Andrew, Glenshee is probably better in winter but either way it's great to have it relatively close to house for a shorter travel experience than normal. Cheers

Heading up that way Thursday as it looks a half decent day...going to use that wee route from A93 to Callater Bothy that you guys did as I have a couple of Munros to do on The Mounth..I saw you guys a few years ago up Broad Cairn as I was heading down.

Hi Craig, Your spot on, a few of the corries away from the road, either side, are quite dramatic. It's certainly and an area for all seasons. Cheers
I can remember watching another of your videos on these in the snow and thought wow! I want to do that! Nice to see the weather improving and the views opening up. Enjoy watching these as always Charlie great day out! Been over to knoydart yet? Paul

Hi Paul, Yes, Glenshee is always worth a visit when the snow is in condition and you have the advantage of the easy parking and the road being kept open for the skiing 👍 We were planning getting back into Knoydart on Monday but the weather is poor so plans changed again. Should be there in the next few weeks all going well. Cheers

@@charliemccartney7055 I think those few weeks in June were our summer Charlie! Although the last few year’s September has been a nice month. I think knoydart will be next year for me now. Fingers crossed you get the weather when you go👍👍👍
Another superb video. It’s great when the weather opens up like that and such a wonderful area (with a few ugly protuberances). Thanks for sharing again. Best wishes Murdo

Hi Murdo, Glenshee is a nice area to visit and does give some great walking throughout the seasons. The bonus for us is the limited travel time which makes a pleasant change. Cheers

Hi Geoffrey, Never say die.... that's the stuff 👍 I'd like to think I'd manage it in a few years but I think the chairlift will need to be operating for a successful summit 🤣 Cheers

Hi Brian, The day turned out just great 👍Glenshee is a relatively quick escape for us when things are a bit iffy in the west. It also helps that you drive halfway up the hill to start with 🤣 Cheers
How many indigenous Scots? Did you come across. My Son talked to ONE . From Killie.
