As a Mongolian who used to live in Melbourne, Australia and play football there, I can assure you that Tim Cahill is the most monumental footballer I've ever witnessed in Aus football history. He literally carried his team so many times in major tournaments and he got his reward. He put Australian football on the map and it's safe to say that I'm very proud of him and how gives the motivation to fight to the next generation of footballers. I know that Australians don't really fancy world football because they have their own version (Aus Rules) but I believe that football is prospering in the continent down under and one day Australia will be world title contenders, a team to reckon with. Show the world what you're made of. Go Aus Go! Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy Oi Oi Oi Oiiiii!!!!!! To The Beautiful Game. Love from Mongolia

Really hope the boys will make a case for themselves and not bow out of the tournament with 3 losses and a whimper. The last campaign was shambolically managed by Bert van Marwijk. We'll need the right coaching, the right line ups, the right tactics and the right subs to have any chance of picking up some results. Tunisia we MUST get something, and if we're level deep in the game with Denmark I expect the boys this time to actually go for it as if their lives depend on it, which wasn't the case at the last cup. Even at the risk of losing the game, you have to go for it, or else you'll be packing your bags to go home.

i think what he dosent mention and he probably only knew in hindsight was that he was annoyed and upset to be on the bench vs Japan - but Guus knew it would light the fire beneath him, to spur him on to prove him wrong - he knew Tims temperament better then himself. The rest is history, now hes trying to impart that on the next gen, don't sulk if you are on the bench, use it

Based on form this team is indeed poised once again get zero points in the group stage. However they could possibly get a max of three points if they miraculously go out and actually play a bit of football for once. That is unlikely though. No motivational speech with stirring music is likely to save this team however most of the blame lies with the current coach. It's realistic to say that our boys struggle to stack up against the WC heavyweights on paper, but with a bad coach it will just be more misery. -- don't get me wrong, I do support our boys and i think this team can perform so much better than they have been, but it's difficult to watch our national team when they're being coached so poorly. the socceroos have been on a decline since the golden generation.
