Scariest voyage I experienced was during the July 12, 1992 voyage of Sulpicio Lines’ MV Filipina Princess from Manila to Cebu. Me, my parents, and my siblings were heading back to Cebu after completing our interview at the US Embassy on July 10th. The vessel left the port of Manila at 10 am after the PCG cleared it although PAGASA already issued a storm signal number 2 bulletin for Manila as Typhoon Konsing/Eli was approaching. Two hours later as the vessel approached near Mindoro, we got hit by heavy waves. Even at the tourist accommodation, we felt the heavy rolling and only saw huge waves pounding the windows which lasted for three hours. None of the passengers ate lunch. The ship’s skipper surely had the balls of steel to pass a typhoon like that unscathed. Unlike the ill-fated Princess of the Stars which sank sixteen years later, the Filipina Princess was smaller and was designed the deal with the rough seas of western Japan when she serviced that part of the country prior to her purchase by Sulpicio Lines in 1988.

The lite ferry five is my favorite and lite ferry nine is not my favorite because her engine is so noisy and if I going to bohol my favorite ride is lite ferry 5 because it's nice and fast relaxing❤

My experience was with Roble Joyful Stars we were going home with my friends because it was holy week just last year.. there was a typhoon but I forgot the name the chief steward said in the restaurant that it's just winds but when we arrive in the port of hilongos, strong waves and wind occurs it's hard to dock because when we try to dock the waves pushes the joyful star.. the capt trying to position the ship so that we can dock but failed so we were just floating around just ahead of the port a lil bit to await if the weather will be good and be cleared but it was getting worst the port can't be seen it's foggy and the rain and winds are very strong so it was at 7pm the coast guard radio the ship to go back to cebu were the typhoon is getting stronger and the weather is getter worst so went back to cebu but we went to another route so it will be a not stronger waves.. roble offers us free breakfast and lunch since we arrive in cebu around 2-3pm the Gloria 5 arrive early than us in hilongos and the passengers were disembark but the rolling cargo stays inside but they went back to cebu also as the weather went worst but they went and change their route to bohol snd and yeah we refund our ticket and book the next schedule

Woaaaah.. What an experience Sir and thank you for sharing. Camotes Sea is really notorious for strong winds and waves may it be habagat or amihan all the more typhoon. Glad to know everyone is safe. It is the top most priority in situations like this.

Scariest was Tubigon to Cebu back in the late 90's mid 2001. Jadestar Express di pa uso mga Catamaran's. Around November ting balod to kulba kau kay inig hawa palang sa port nag sayaw2x na na murag matumba gladly naa akong papa na seaman na nag comfort na kabalo nas dagan sa balod. Ang naka weird it was very Sunny pero ang waves my gahd haha... Kanang Camiguin to Siquijor area na part sa pagbyahe expected mu balod gyd na kay matod pa nila sa kinaraan "duol na daw sa wakwak na isla" hehe busa mag uyog2x haha

From my experience, their FB page kay motubag sa rolling cargo rates (unlike Cokaliong) But yeah posting rolling cargo rates will help too as a motorista nga ga barko barko hehe
