2:30 Students performing Filipino Martial Arts Arnis. 😃👍
Thats why i love mergim making videos. He explain every details of the place he visited haha ❤❤❤
The golden retriever is the highlight of this video🩵✨
Mergim go inside the CITI building (behind Avida Towers) there is an authentic Cantonese casual dining/take away place there called Lam's Kitchen. Chef Ben Lam used to be a head chef at Makati Shangri-la. There is also Subway Sandwiches in the same building if you want some healthy options.
I haven‘t tried a mano‘s coffee but as half italian I can say that they likely one of the very best Italian food you can find in the Philippines 🇮🇹🇵🇭
Love you from Pakistan. God bless you and your family
Thank you for showing us some cafes in BGC. Great! Looking forward to watch more recommendations from you.
Nice to see that business is booming in some parts of our country. You're spreading positivity.
Love the new 3D billboard ❤ I was there last night.
Eesome at burgos is my fav. Very chic and has a hidden aesthetic retails upstairs
I love Cafes all over the Philippines! It’s fun talking to all the staff and trying new drinks and pastries! Have fun!
thanks for this vlog, mergim! looking forward to your makati cafe vlog!
I've been following you for the past couple of months now. I learned alot about BGC and can't wait to visit the place. Hope to see you around Mergim . Also love that you're affectionate and kind to animals ❤️
They can adjust "some" of the sourness of the coffee. They are likely under extracting their espresso shot, which creates a sour taste. Nice vid 👍🏽👍🏽
What a newbie! Some of us were here when BGC was still green fields and trees, green space where folks went to enjoy the fresh air and open spaces. Before they concreted all over it. And all coffee is naturally bitter.
No doubt there's plenty coffee options in BGC. Couple more to add to your list, Pocofino and UCC coffee
Great video!!!
Goodmorning 😘Mergim, another great vlog for the day, thank you so much for the daily vlogs.
Have a nice day Mergim! 😊❤
love watching all you vloggs,, keep it up bro,,,,,stay safe
❤ it. When i visit philippines I LEARN A LOT FROM U. ❤ FROM USA
There was actually a massive Arabica shop there in BGC before. But they closed it permanently and replaced with the new coffee shop called Angkan.
You're welcome!!! Although, there's quite a few cafes... Seems like Starbucks is king.
Very helpful.❤
Mergim there is a Starbucks at Avida Towers Verte building. It is next to the Korean Grocery and opposite Macao Imperial Tea.
We can't wait to visit BGC next year for our vacation
Glad to see co-working coffee shops
mrgm, try also *mary grace café* especially their popular ensaymada, cheese rolls & mamon (as pasalubong / souvenir) you shud also try the award-winning *auro* chocolates and why they've got accolades (for their chocolates) lastly, what is it about *wildflour* (especially the makati branch) why it's popular among the celebrities ~•~ btw, too much caffeine may trigger migraine attack (depending on the individual) is this true?
🤙🏻🙏🏻 Cheers Chairman!
Always some great stuff
Nice to know so many coffee shops there
Try McDonald’s Hazelnut Iced Coffee with little or no sugar. Just little creamer. It’s so good!
I noticed in Metro Manila, coffee shops prefer the sour taste. Aside from Starbucks, it's really difficult in Metro Manila to find coffee that has a dark bitter taste which is my preference. In Cebu, I can easily find coffee shops with coffee to my liking, even coffee shops that are very local and not big franchises. BO's for example, a Cebu based coffee shop franchise has a very dark bitter taste for their coffee. I think, in general Cebuanos prefer their coffee to be dark and bitter while Manileños prefer the sour taste. That's just my observation and opinion. I could be wrong.

It's probably part of the global specialty coffee trend that's been becoming more and known in the last few years esp. during pandemic. It's been here in the last decade or so in local cafes of Makati, but more and more people being accustomed to knowing a variety of coffee flavors and their origin. Philippines still has its mainstay dark and bold flavors from Kapeng Barako (C. liberica) which was brought by the Spanish in the mid 1700s to Batangas. The supply only accounts for around 1 to 2 percent of the global coffee and is mostly sold to locals and tourists. When the tides of the trends change towards the traditional dark and bold flavors again, maybe the world will be reintroduced to liberica/barako coffee. But right now, the most expensive coffee by the pound is the Panama Gesha, which leans more on the fruitier side rather than the dark and bitter side.
The BGC cats know who the Chairman is. Meow....
and I was worried about finding espresso coffee when i come to visit in 30 days .....lol.......thank you for this great video , i feel much better now
Your really the chairman of bgc nice to see all parts of bgc
Auro Chocolate is a Philippine Chocolate Company with at least 10 international awards for their top quality chocolates. I believe they have a cafe too in Dubai.
Great content/info for coffee enthusiasts. Do you have your best 5 recommendations? Love from Pinoy in LA, CA 😍🇵🇭😍🇵🇭
thats for practice mergim.. thre are hardwood use for arnis/eskrima but theyre moe expensive..
Hahahaha. It got me when you said that the cats knows who the Chairman of BGC is. hahahahaha Not a black coffee lover here. So, I cannot comment much. I just drink the prominent local Coffee 'Kapeng Barako' from Batangas here at home, and mostly the 3-in-1 instant coffee sachet. Hehehe
There's also a local coffee shop in Market! Market! (facing Serendra) - Cafe de Lipa
Those coffee shops you went to serve specialty coffee basically the beans are light roast giving you a fruitier, brighter taste with different coffee notes and its stronger in caffeine. Chain coffee shops like starbucks serve dark roast/city roast beans basically burnt beans thats why its bitter
Coffee project ambiance in vista hub 21st ave is good too.
You should come back for Caravan Black's coffee, orange chicken, naked chorizo, and pancakes!!!
The first Arabica (7th Ave.) is now called "Angkan".
Lighter roasts are more acidic. That makes the coffee sour. The darker the roast, the less acidic.
Maybe try also the Mors. . . Coffee owned by Mike of the Making it happen vlog and give us also your taste test opinion 😊👍
Amano has a lot of branches here in Manila. Try their famous Carbonara Pizza
Sayang, i did not see you! I was there in Olive Garden.
Try starbucks cold brew, thats what i order,
I like the coffee shop the one that looks like a bleacher with lights underneath its steps..

That's "Angkan " wherein arábica first stored/located during the pandemic before they shifted to uptown...
Mergim ran into you last spring we have condo in one uptown and uptown suites. Have an idea for an episode for you. Go to Ministry of Crab. You’ll love it. Very tasty and aesthetically pleasing. Cheer’s hope to be back in BGC again soon and run into you “ the chairman””
The Pick Up Coffee is moved into the back of the Uptown mall
Chairman, Arnis/Eskrima/Kali is mostly taught in military combat training worldwide. You should do some content on it.
Nice content, I’m a coffee lover. You always drink cold drink americano with espresso shots? The taste of espresso shots depends on the machine and quality of the coffee beans.
❤❤❤❤❤
Mergin try filipino coffee called "barako".😊
Mergim -- This episode is not for those with weak bladder.
I still love our own coffee bean barako in Baguio city he!he!

Maybe the beans had a short brewing time.. thats why its sour. They must increase the time..
🙏🏽🙏🏽💙
Only Mergim would get a Starbucks to go while on his way to several coffee shops. LOL
Better u buy coffe maker for u to save more money.

The 3rd billboard is under way in 2024 or 2025.. It's the glass facade above Gentle Monster, adjacent to the first one.
You are really a chairman of bgc you know all the streets and everything at the back of ur mind.:) 😍👏😍👏
Bo’s Coffee is good, if they’re in BGC

ARNIS is a Filipino martial arts.
I can have a coffee and still sleep 😅
i wish bgc has a cat cafe
Many of those shops will be closing on the next few years when they realize that the economy of the people around there will not be able to support the expenses, but is defiantly lots of coffe around there, I think the best product come out from the Wild Flower, everything else is smoke in the air
