Was definitely overbooked, but the worst thing was the pacing. If you're gonna have that many run ins they should be allowed to breathe, but they were all piled on top of each other in quick succession. And btw hasn't Roman already gotten his "revenge" for the chair shot in one of the matches vs Seth? Pretty sure he beat Seth's ass with a chair and the commentators called back to the Shield breakup, this was just a repeat.

Your average wrestling fan today has had their brain rotted out by Marvel movies. That finish was live action Avengers Endgame for them.

Stone Cold would’ve made more sense as the Rocks greatest rival. I had no problem with taker though.

Actually it didn’t Every man who came out lost to Roman (taker Cena Jey uso & Seth Rollins) Austin has no history with Roman Everyone takes everyone out Roman takes out Seth by doin to him what Seth originally did to him…..that was the original betrayal that turned Roman into the tribal chief instead of focusing on Cody & he lost Heyman said he wrote how Roman would lose the title months ago

If Steve Austin didn't show up because they didn't want to pay him enough, then somebody should be fired. If Rock had been stopped by the sound of glass shattering and Austin on a 4 wheeler, it would've been so much better.

If I'm not mistaken, Austin's wife is sick and he didn't want to travel too far from her so he passed.

"Overbooking" can work when done seldom and for something special like this match. It becomes an issue when done chronically like TNA/WCW at their worst.

Honestly, it wasn't overbooked enough. I wanted a car crash of overbooking. All of Roman's matches have been loaded with interference. Why change that on the biggest stage when this was the biggest threat to his reign?

As people complained that Austin should have been there, the truth is that Austin and Roman had no history with each other. If you were to look at the Undertaker, on the other hand, he has a longer history with Roman's family. From Yokozuna to Rikishi, he has fought them for many years in various rivalries and matches. His last loss on Wrestlemania was Roman Reigns. He also had history with the Rock in the past. And don't forget, he has a longer history with Paul Heyman. Suffice to say, it made a lot of sense for Taker to be it. And it also helps that Taker had the longest undefeated streak in Wrestlemania history.

I didn't understand the Stone Cold's rumours, except for an easy pop. Taker has history with Wrestlemania, almost to the point of being synonymous with it. Whether it was second best in their eyes, it worked for the best. Agreed with James on everything, the storytelling throughout the event, not only in the main event, was great.

James: fans can be too critical. Also James: the IC title match booking..... People were invested in the show. I'm not a stan for any company, but I can say it was a good foot forward for a new beginning with the company. First 'Mania without Vince.

It was the first time my wife has ever watched a WrestleMania live. She had a blast, got a rhea shirt and is a fan now. She got me a Cody shirt so im not complaining. What a great show.

If interference was legal, why didnt Solo help Roman pin Cody? The whole bloodline could just pile on top of Cody for an easy pin. It made no sense but i guess modern fans only care if its exciting.

Remember what the cashier said in Ready to Rumble??? Wrestling is for ???? Truer words have never been spoken.

And here I thought interferences were frowned upon with them edrones 🤔

I thought it was overbooked Gave the main event a 6.5/10 on the live watch. After rewatching it, I feel about the same. Maybe 7/10. The problem with all the run ins is that you're anticipating them more than the match itself. Maybe it's a true passing of the torch, but the actual transition could've been better. The World Title change(s) were handled much better imo.

During the live stream every single run-in was easily predicted except Austin was swapped out for Taker. Again taking away from the actual match because we're conditioned. It was booked like a royal rumble instead of the main event for the most prestigious title in the history of the company.

An idea. Wwe could have scrapped this year elimination chamber ppv. At wrestlemania 40 book elimination chamber with The Rock, Roman reigns, jimmy uso, Jay uso, solo sikoa and Cody Rhodes for the title and head of the table. Cody Rhodes wins the elimination chamber and introduces the new title on raw after mania. The purpose of this is to give Cody a stronger finish to his story.

Oh, that's crazy. Would have been way better if The Rock took a stunner there, instead of a chokeslam.

Gunther losing the title to Sami reminded me of why i stopped watching the product all together.

I don't agree with Sly at all, Stone Cold makes the most sense. Especially in regards to the Rock. Stone Cold was Rocks greatest rival

Mania as a whole was lackluster. The main events were the ONLY reasons people wanted to watch for the most part.

A good way to make Roman reigns draw major heel heat is when Cody defends his first wwe title have the arena lights go out, Roman appears in The ring and gives Cody a Superman punch. Cody is now bleeding knocked out and loses the title to his opponent. Roman goes on a hiatus. Cody comes out every week calling out Roman reigns.

Tony's gonna give MJF tons of money before losing him to HHH

The Rock still wants to be head of the table . This angle could play out in a rivalry with Roman later .

Overbooked and overproducted. So yeah sorry Cody. I really didn't care you winning the Mustard Strap. 😅 New era my rear. We are still in the darkness after all of that transpired in the company. So yeah there's my sense of it.

I think James is right about Bron Brekker being the next big star but you never can say for sure.

I only watched a couple minutes of clips, but Cena's swing on the The Rock looked so soft. Uso and that other guy fighting on the ramp didn't look believable either.

The ending was a joke. Nick Khan and HHH came out at the end hogging the limelight and patting themselves on the back. Vince would never. The Gaslight era is off to a trash start.

Excited. It's either gonna be the biggest shitshow of all time and a really stupid Idea or Punk is gonna look like an asshole and reveal stuff we've likely already known. Either way, I'm watching that shit so even if it's just to pop a rating for a week, it'll work and it's 2 weeks before I go to their ppv in St Louis so I'm in.

I hate Cody and I think the whole thing was great. Overbooked yeah but really fun and a feel good moment despite the fact I’m not a Cody fan.

The only thing i didnt like was that the bell rung BEFORE the lights went out. Left zero surprise for it being Undertaker. The lights shouldve went out, 3 seconds pass, and then you strike the bell.. That eruption wouldve been nuts.

I like the storyline/feud, but both ROCK matches werent good at all. Everything looked fake like a video-game and everybody had to kick out of everything.

Cody was not gonna be able to win in a 4 on 1 disadvantage, he found people to even the odds and have a fair chance to win. Hewas made THE GUY by ending the 1300+ days as champion. Bron Breakker is definitely the next in line. I wanted Breakker or Jey to be the ones to dethrone Gunther.
