I remember first seeing this commercial years and years ago as well! So glad to have finally found it. ❤❤I loved how the Cadi blew out the candles at the end and was just rocking back and forth, (when they said party’s over) my favorite part lol 🤩 I’ve never forgot that part.

that's your loss. I just traded in a C300 4matic for a 2014 ATS 2.0T AWD and HOLY SHIT what a difference. the ATS makes the C300 feel like a corolla with leather. much better handler, much more powerful and way better looking too. easily on par with the BMW 3 series performance wise but with better looks. for the same price you get much better options. no more stupid knob to control the GPS, this things comes with a touch screen that works right.

I agree that BMW and Mercedes are better but don't diss Cadillac if you haven't driven one. Believe it or not Cadillac are making great luxury machines and good sports cars too. They are the only american luxury car company that makes good luxury cars that can compete with Benz and Beamer. I drive a CTS-V Coupe and that is the best car I have ever driven.

Some come on you tube and don't think other people read their comments. You made your point. You drive an audi I hope so what. Go win at Lemans and some more race events please. Until then keep quiet. BMW and Mercedes were not even on Cadillacs level the day caddy went mass production is when the messed up but still were making top notch coaches. But show me a v16 in any other vehicle with no power adders that's 1000 hp and 1000 ft torque. ..... bugatti still has 4 turbos and is a w16. And Gm makes more parts for more cars than just their own. Getrag, the magnetic dampeners to numerous other bs parts. And wanna hear a statistic you've never heard but you showed Google. ........ Gm has always had the best engineers in the industry so read between the lines, it's about money. No one makes a car that won't tear up because you need to come back every so often and vw has more crappy cars than Gm Don't play yourself. Yes I'm bland drive a Cadillac what's your point? Am way ceo told his workers to all buy Cadillacs hmmmmm I wonder why?

I always liked this commercial, although back then, the STS still wasn't strong enough to take on those guys, GM was still struggling to learn the necessary lessons, and it is kind of a caricature of the "ugly american" stereotype. Nowadays though, the ATS is right on the 3 series tail, and I believe the CTS will eventually "mature" into the 5 series rival. Still no s-class rival yet, but one step at a time.

Traded my 2001 Cadillac Eldorado for a 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK. there's no comparison to driving a european leather lined tank. I can't believe Caddy thinks they can compete with vehicles like this. There's no comparison

Mercedes are some very nice cars. But the Deville DHS and Deville DTS were the ones that were in the same class with the large Mercedes sedans Salons. They are just as nice and very well built cars.

BMW suck at performance. Caddys are 10 times faster and more sportier to drive. The V and the ATS are way better looking cars than the M5 and the 3 series. Plus rich people drive cadillacs like the Escalade and CTS.

  • @osvst

@TheDullahan Yea ok and yet they made shitty trans axles that couldn't handle the power from there 4.9 and Early northstars. the only thing Cadillac made that was impressive was the northstar. Great engine. Bitch to work on but it was good. Now Cadillac uses what ever GM has on the shelf. And torque and HP i have a 88 Audi sport with a 2.3 5 cylinder that can chew a few Cadillac (CTS-V is one it cant) but for a 2.3 its been done up to almost 387 ftlbs of torque and 443 Hp not bad for its 2.3

What a strange ad. Ridiculing the elegance of European culture with the brass balls of American culture. Both are great. I love Led Zeppelin and muscle cars, I also love opera and Mercedes. I assume this ad was made for idiots who have no appreciation for any culture different than their own, and have never read a book that wasn't required to graduate.
