So glad that Jeep went with a straight-6 over a V6 in their downsizing effort(although the 6.4 Hemi is the business!). The Escalade is is a touch more stylish, but I appreciate the Wagoneer's boxyness and overall better polished luxury experience at this price. You can get 85% of the Escalade in the $80K Tahoe High Country, including this very same powertrain.

The Wagoneer is classier, Escalade has a more aggressive styling. Third row is much better on the Wagoneer as you have a nice big window whilst on the Escalade there's a huge pillar that blocks the view out almost entirely.

Love this review...we just purchased a 2023 Wagoneer L 4x4 series 2 with the new Hurricane engine...for $79k, it's the best choice for the money compared to the Suburban or Yukon XL, Expedition ain't even close....I looked at a used Escalade and I can see what you mean by feeling like a Chevy 😂...Grand Wagoneer L is the nicest interior in the industry right now 👍🏽

The naturally aspirated engines always last longer than shXXy Turbocharged IMHO. Oh! Forgot to mention, Super cruise is wicked!

As an ESV V owner, There is nothing better in the American market. I had a Mercedes GLS 63 previously and the escalade far surpasses it for me.

@@zeuskodisos2389 lol by a mile? I'd be happy to test that theory! I've got 170 more horsepower, 150 ft lb of torque. That's assuming you have a 6.4. Plus supercrusie, i can do the mile without touching my steering wheel. You have a jeep grand Cherokee that ate too many cheetos :)

I own a 2023 Cadillac 600. Recently I had to travel out of town and rent a vehicle. I got a cord expedition and I actually liked it as much as my caddy. Only difference nothing beats a caddy on a Sunday morning blaring blues on blast volume.

I wonder what seat offers better massages. I have bad back pain and audi q8 had the best massaging seats I've tested so far. How do you think they compete against each other in that department? Can you feel the massage at all or it's more like subtle touch rather than actual massage?

Definitely cars to lease and not buy for the long haul. I can't imagine either of those will, on average, hold up well over 5 years of ownership let alone offer people more than 100k miles of trouble free ownership. Way too many things to break and I'd imagine when things break they'll be expensive to fix.

As for your steering comments, on the Grand Wagoneer did you go into the setup menu and select "sport" mode for your steering? With the Jeep you have 3 steering choices, Sport, Normal and Comfort. My wife prefers Comfort and it is a big old barge. I use Standard and Sport and it really perks up the vehicle. Will it fool you into thinking you're driving a Challenger? No. But it makes it a nice driving SUV

Get both. Why burden yourself choosing one over the other.

The Lincoln and Cadillac don't come close to the jeep

So glad to see this review, Hands down to this man, I was always wondering why all reviews say Escalade better, and finally this review showed reality, I personally prefer looks of Wagoneer L

I would definitely argue that the Lincoln should be there! They probably just couldn’t get there hands on one.

Love my Jeep wagoneer. It drives really well and the interior feel high quality unlike any chevy, toyota or ford. Plus it has Jeep DNA it can handle off road better than those other vehicles. 10.25 Air Suspension lift.

An important point to mention, with wagoneer, you will be dealing with keep service departments. That’s scary with a 100k truck.

I never see a Grand Wagoneer on the road, not many people are buying them. I went to both dealerships and test drove both. I got the Cadillac Escalade, it was a better. I love, love it.

How do you get a quarter million from as tested prices of ~$110k???

I won’t deal with their crappy service department, crappy coffee and crappy service. This conversation is Lincoln and Cadillac only. People who pay this much for their rides are paying for the full experience.

Man you did not compare the 3rd row. The wagoneer is much better with power reclining seats and its very own sunroof. And then there is the offroad capability of Jeep. Going camping when it snows or rains is much easier and safer. Escalade has better looking side view though.

Why are you buying an extra large SUV for driving dynamics? You’re looking in the wrong segment.

If only jeep quality of the electric system was not the same as many English car using Lucas electronic from the 1960 and the same reliability.

I don't understand why these videos never show the cargo boxes in their entirety or lower the rear seats. That's what people want to see.

Everyone has a Cadillac, I'd have to get the Jeep just because of the rarity. I've still yet to see one on the road.

3.0L Duramax is also an inline 6...not a V-6

Caddy ride handles better, rides better, looks better, sounds better, better interior. Caddy in easy win.

The Escalade just looks better to me. Also surprised the Wagoneer L, as stupidly massive as it is, has less overall cargo capacity than the Escalade, which looks no bigger.

These things are so expensive now. This isn't a loan. It is a prison sentence. Once the repo-apocalypse gets going, then prices might go down.

I have never heard a valet say, "Nice Jeep" Bahahahaha! Be serious.

Jeep has no cache. The Escalade does.

Escalade isn't a brand though, its just a Cadillac model. Jeep's cachet is its off-road heritage. Although the Grand Wagoneer name was not made to be an off-road machine, it wouldn't surprise me if it has more off-roadabilty built in than the Escalade.

Pumping in 87 octane into the TT6 wagoneer will kill the engine....so the cost savings for fuel economy goes to the Cadillac.

Poor Lincoln Navigator

This guy is talking BS hyping up the jeep. We rented a brand new, top of the line, Grand Wagoneer and we ran into one electrical issue after another. It was very frustrating! There's no way I would pay 80 to 100 grand for that jeep.

If you get thrill from power, get the wagoneer L. For exceptional luxury and comfort, Escalade

Escalade is hands down better and more established in every single way. According to every other reviewer and every other auto manufacturer because they all have created a model to beat the Escalade and knock it off it’s pedestal but have failed miserably. Navigator may have come first but the reality is… Escalade will always be the benchmark due to celebrity/ public influencers hype all across the world and it’s sheer road presence is unmatched. Always have been always will be. Numbers don’t lie… it outsells everything. Escalade owners don’t even cross shop it’s just that popular… I digress

These two are nice but nothing like the greatness of the lincoln navigator and I would never own a Cadillac for the reason of how it started and it will never be anything but a thiefs vehicle sorry if you own one and think their great that's you I will always see them as a thief and nothing less

That is not true at all. I’ve driven both and the Escalade rides far better then the wagoneer. The Escalade has plenty power. The 6.2 engine get up to speed very quick. I don’t know what this guy is on, he is absolutely biased to the jeep wagoneer for his own benefit. I guess that is the only way people would look at these horrendously ugly Jeep Wagoneer by spreading false information.
