    Getting my CUE fixed at dealer right now and will be able to learn it better once that's done. I have a suggestion: Certainly better to do your video in HD, but I'd like first an overview of the steering wheel controls and the CUE screen itself (e.g. what do they control and how they relate to each other) then go into each icon and show/explain their functionality. Each topic/video segment could be separated with a view of a written outline listing the topics and introducing them one at a time flipping back the the outline as each topic was completed and the next one started. This would be more like a classroom method of conducting this instructional video. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the video.

    Matthew Di Flumeri Have you not taken it upon yourself to go use the search engine Google, or Cadillac's website? Usually one would at least provide their model year and trim to give some information to the people they're asking to do their legwork. But in this particular case, sans even a smidgen of provided information about your car, I can almost guarantee that it is not available. Looking for you, the 2015's don't even appear to have it as an option at all anymore. The 2015 CTS only has it optional for Performance trim, and it is standard for the Premium. Base and Luxury are not available at all. Either way, why didn't you just buy one that had the color display Driver Information Center installed at the time of purchase? The cost of purchasing and having it installed, if it was even an option for your SRX (which it's not), would be ridiculously expensive. You'd save money by selling your current SRX (again, if that's even your vehicle, as nothing was provided for me to do your research for you) and buying a premium of the last year to offer the color display DIC.

    +Matthew Di Flumeri You asked a question that is well within your ability to answer on your own. Because you chose not to take the time to do so, and instead asked people on youtube, you inherently did indeed ask for others to do your research for you. My day isn't ruined. I'm sure you've been annoyed by laziness yourself, though. You understand how it is.

    This is the one thing that prevents me from really liking Cadillac. Near-impeccable interior quality comes at the expense of ergonomics, which Cadillac used to do very well. The CUE is everything bad about touch-screen systems and nothing good about using hard buttons.

    I gotta say I disagree. I recently rented a 2016 xts for a week long 2500 mile road trip. Within 1 hr I was proficient with Cue. After a couple days everything was very quick and 2nd nature. Anything you would want to do could be done without every removing your hands from the wheel. Easily control the center stack information displayed in the instrument cluster. My phone was practically automatic to sync and very easy to access. Im not saying cue is perfect, however, as a first experience goes, I would say I was impressed with the system and gave me the impression that cadillac put alot of dedication and time into the development of Cue. jmho...

    This technology can be nice....until it goes bad and or its not working correctly. Or when the police or government can control it on you while driving!!!! Very Scary!!!! The older Classic Cadillac's are much much better than these new ones. They really don't do anything for me. Now they are just like all the rest of the new cars. No distinction or style anymore. This car here is just like the new Chevrolet's. Just with a Cadillac badge on the front. Stay with the older REAL Cadillac's. They are a much better investment and will last much much longer than any of the new ones. I am a Cadillac man and I will keep all my older Cadillac's forever. I will just keep fixing them for the rest of my life. My 2005 Deville is the newest that I'm going.

    Cats Pajamas That is the one problem with all the new technology in these cars. It can be both a good thing and a bad thing. A few GM cars started using a similar touch screen computer like this back in the late 80s but it didn't last very long due to its unpopular and reliable. Now they are bringing it back with the advancements in current new technology.

    Every Cadillac I owned was junk and designed to be so. I have had a Lincoln for many years now. The Lincoln has never left me on the side of the road like the Cadillac did a few times.

  • @buzzkillington9740

    @buzzkillington9740

    9 жыл бұрын

    RobertJ1966 I specifically just purchased my second Cadillac because after 65,000 miles driven (nearly 100k on the odometer) the only things I had to replace were brakes, tires and headlight bulbs (one on each side). My Ford and Chevy's before that were breaking down every other month after 70,000 miles on the odometer. Had my power steering pump explode while driving one time in a Trailblazer. Thought my car was on fire, but it was just the power steering fluid spraying all over the hot rotors and steaming. I just purchased an ATS because my CTS was rear ended while I was stopped at a red light, by an older gentleman in a Mercedes who was doing god knows what, instead of looking at the road and stopping. Repair estimate was far too expensive for a 6 year old vehicle with 99,832 miles. But after this one, I'm starting to think the value in Cadillac's is no longer worth purchasing. I had to pick and choose between either the Luxury and Premium trim of various different engine pairings, just to get SOME of the features my Sister has in her new Chrystler 200. I mean, you seriously have a car with a base price just shy of $40k, which jumps over that mark with all of the included options, and HID headlights aren't even available? I consider those a mark of an upper tier car (but the aesthetic isn't what's important to me; I just truly see better at night with the bright white vs. soft yellow halogens). For what Cadillac stands for, there shouldn't be a single vehicle in their line up (besides maybe the sole base trim of each model) that doesn't at least have the option of having HIDs. Make it standard in the Premium trim, fine. But to not even be available for Luxury is ridiculous. Cadillac's standard and optional offerings now fall in line with vehicles that are literally 1/2 of their price. If this ATS turns out to be a total turd lemon over my time with it, I won't ever come back. But even if it lasts like my CTS did, they really need to do something to increase the value of their vehicles. I understand paying for a brand. Having a lineup with options identical to low cost Asian imports and mid-level American brands, and pricing at 75-150% of their cost, ISN'T paying for luxury or a name. It's overpricing.
