Launch effort given to the vehicle is giving me Chevy SS vibes. I agree with the lackluster launch video as well. I was one of the few individuals who was able to get a reservation. It seemed like a good option as I had been wanting a V2 and then a SS for 6+ years.

I want to draw the bottom part of the hexagon with a tool; no push button glove box -- just brought from every ordinary GM glove box bin; water fall lights do not meet the splitter; the headlights look like Godzillas eyes- 2018 -- well that is kinda cool; the vent next to waterfall lights are piano black irregular hexagons pointing east and west -- planar lamina, confuses front end design language; the cost to buy and replace ceramic breaks is not for the faint of heart -- Leone explains why they went with Gen 3 steel rotors; the chicken wishbone design of the rear piano black space at the rear windows -- should be a glass view -- instead its a piano black triangle framed with a silver wishbone -- every time you walk to the vehicle you see.... a piano black triangle framed by a silver wishbone -- you better buy the car in black. The carbon fiber back seats are super but your eyes have to get past that...piano black triangle framed by as silver wish bone. Yeah, I hate that thing. What is that? What does that do for the design? Just want to stick something there -- a V badge, something. CT4-VBW has a window -- so it can be done. Does the door handles light up when you unlock the vehicle? Hmmmm. Rear and light design is good. Not a fan of the exhausts tips -- parallelograms -- more design language confusion. Magnesium wheels are super! Corvette engine mighty. Finally the zero to 60 time is equal to gen3. You can just hear that game show sound of a trumpet dying... Don't get me started... If you cannot find a gen3, the Blackwing is a good back up -- like Robin to Batman. The V8 is on the endangered species list... :-(

I’m a third Gen V owner (2019) currently and had a 12 CTS-V. When the 3rd gen was introduced I had an Audi S6. I was wowed by the car on its appearance and performance capabilities. Gen 3 was light years ahead of the Gen 2. Although the new Blackwing has 10 spd or a 6 spd manual plus more hp and torque I’m not a fan over the appearance. I’m sure they’ll sell out pretty quick anyway. Love the new interior but am not wowed I not impressed . I’d they added 4wd then maybe I would have a had little more interest. As of now my V3 will be staying with me for a while.

The new V is like a deluxe certain of a rap album same thing but a different order lol. I'd still take the V3 CTS-V over the newest one coming out

I'm currently in the market and was debating between the the 2019 CTS-V and the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing. I do like the Blackwing but I feel like the CTS just looks waaaaay better. The rear windows and pillars of the Blackwing look out of place and bulky. Also, the small jump in performance doesn't seem like it's all that worth it. Nothing a tune wouldn't fix. The manual 6 speed is cool, and I do like the 10 speed a lot, but I feel like the 8 speed in the CTS-V is a great transmission too. I've driven cars with all 3 transmissions with similar power and honestly, I just don't feel like it's worth the money to jump up to a Blackwing in that regard. The seats in the Blackwing do look super cool, and I do like display a little more than the CTS, but not enough to justify the price point either. I guess I'll be looking for a sweet deal on a CTS-V! I definitely appreciate this video, as you pretty much touched on all points that I was thinking to myself. Thank you sir!

I guess I'm just not an audiophile. I have Bose in my 2011 CTS-V (V2) and Harmon Kardon in my 2013 Audi S5. The Bose system sounds just as good to me as the Harmon Kardon system. I almost bought a 2016 CTS-V but just couldn't justify the price over the performance gain. Yes, the interior and features are better but I own my 2011 and don't have a $71,000 debt and car payment. I think 0 to 60 is only a tenth or two. Not hating, I love the V3s and the new Blackwing, Just don't want to spend the money on them yet. Thanks for the video!

Lt5 is the same engine. Just bigger supercharger.

IMO on the CT5 the styling is really the only letdown.Everything else got a reboot even if a minimal one at that.The CT4 on the other hand got a big interior upgrade but the car got fatter and the increase in power was even more minuscule.In the end these cars dont really sell very well and they really only exist to get buyers into mid teir models.It makes sense that they wouldnt throw the kitchen sink at them as much as that sucks for us enthusiasts

The LT5 SHOULD have been the engine in OUR V3's!!! If they're using the LT4, then it's not a BLACKWING, is it?... Blackwing is the engine name. GM just devalued the fuck out of our cars. I'm not going to lie bro, I'm a little pissed lol I guess that's what happens when they stop innovating. These assholes are going to make me buy Ford. I HATE Ford!

I like my V3 better. =)
