Wow!!! Thank you!!! You saved me lots of money!! I have been driving around with the psi notification on the dash for 2 months!! I done just about everything to balance out all four tires and still it remained on the dash board!! I like to look at the digital speedometer on the dash and with the PSI on I cannot look at it that way! I was about to order four new PSI sensors!! Out of all of the advice on the PSI sensors you're the only one that teach people how to reprogram them!! Well thank you because I did what you suggest and it's all fine now👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This worked on my 2009 CTS! However, since my rear right tire had extremely low pressure, it never beeped while letting air out of it. So I went through the process a few times unsuccessfully. I then added air to all tires to about 38 PSI. Then I started the process again and it worked like a champ. If it isn't working, think about it and try again!

Yes, It's like there's (2) versions of psi when it comes to the air pump and the car. Never go buy what the air pump says always set it to the cars version of 35 psi lol. If all else fails to anoyone else reading this then replace your tpms sensors. They're cheap on ebay and not after market. I like Genuine parts so get your part numbers together and run them on ebay .

Nice video. I just bought a 2010 Cadillac CTS and this is the problem I am having. I figured it needed a new sensor which I thought shouldn't be that hard to replace until I saw a video where the sensor is actually in the tire so I doubt I will be switching that myself. Going to try this method to see if maybe it just needs to reset. All my tires have 35psi so not sure if sensor is defective. I guess when I let out air and don't hear a beep, I can be 100% sure it's the actual sensor?

I used this method on my 2011 CTS sport wagon and it worked the second time! I tried the same thing on my nieces 2010 sport wagon several times but when i got to the right rear tire, the system would keep timing out and the horn beeped twice! I Think her sending unit battery must be dead. I read batteries are good for around three years. When you rotate your tires, this has to be done so the read out in the car identifies the correct new position and tire pressure of the rotated tires.

yes your right on that ! these modern vehicles now have to be tip top to operate . And you can't place any ol' battery say like from walmart or such places into them which is why i stick to what was in them from the day they were born. They have certain cold crank amp requirements that have to be met . It's a pain i know . That another reason why i like the older cars / trucks better. Less computeristics and simple

I have a 2009 STS. I want to replace all four sensors. After replacing the sensors, can I follow your procedure and have the car relearn the new ID numbers of the sensors? I'm guessing that it's not possible, because even though it will detect the sensors, it would not know which was the front left, front right, etc. But just thought I'd check if there's a trick to that or if I need to get one of those handheld devices that let you do some programming?

  • @cartoonist1975

Before you order the new sensors remove the sensors you have now and when you order the new ones you will have the part numbers you need and then that way you can enjoy a easy experience like the way I did in this video . Don't by aftermarket sensors ! If you don't see any part numbers on the sensors you remove then contact Cadillac Parts department . Give them the last eight digits of your vin number and they will give you new sensors . After that watch this video and you'll be good to go without having to get the handheld device . Let me know how you make out and hit the like button. It helps me out

I've had problems with the front tires on my 2011 CTS. It tells me the left front tire is at 27 pounds, so I put air to it. Then it tells me the right front tire is at 42 pounds and the left is still at 27.. Obviously something is getting switched up. I have no idea how these sensors work but recently had those two tires rotated. The back tires are larger so of course the can't be rotated to the front. I'll try this to see if it changes anything. Thanks!
