Cadillac Brougham Vinyl Removal, Repair & Delete, hardtop conversion
We finally do it, we finally peel the decrepit vinyl from the ruined brougham roof. Looking to solve a water leak when it rains, the time had come to do a vinyl top delete and go HARD TOP!
Parts required from a 1980-83 Cadillac Sedan deVille hard top:
- Back window glass
- Interior trim pieces
- Back window chrome
Tough to find because not a lot of these came without the vinyl "a traditional Cadillac luxury styling cue", I lucked out at a Pick a Part type wreckers.
Repair work done with 3M Short Hair Fibreglass body filler

I have a 92 brougham and my top isn't too bad but I never really liked it. Id like a full back window too, it's hard to see backing up with the carriage ? window. You did a good job

Why you have d'elegence badges on but base seats? Have they been replaced?

a 10 footer ... ouch ... keep it original... I'm auto mobile trimmer have been for 38 years ... 2024 will cost 2500$ for a replacement .... no rust .. with rust ???? who knows
Never liked vinyl or "Landau" tops, just one more thing to eventually repair. Why Detroit got a woody for them is beyond any logic or common sense. Vinyl tops look tacky!
