@@beatzdyer Considering how the planet was screwed over by the black stone fortress being rammed into it, I dont think that wouldve mattered. Only way out I see is like what Rimmy said; detonating their reactor among the ships that pushed the fortress into the planet so as to stop them before they could.

Or delt with the ships pushing it. Or any number of better alternatives but nnnnooooooo gotta do the 40k thing and throw people at problems then throw more when it doesnt work.

Fun fact: it is almost impossible to beat the Tyranid final boss as the Imperials without bringing a Space Marine fleet due to the fact that it has an absurd amount of health and is literally impossible to kill via macros or even Nova Cannons. Trust me. I tried. It ended poorly. Thus, the highest crew strength unit in the entire game (99x3) can only really be defeated by boarding it to death.

To the best of my knowledge it is impossible to beat the Tyranids in the Necron campaign and you just have to suffer through constant 1800 fleet strength invasions in the Southeastern sectors for the whole game

@@floricel_112 Absolutely not Killing Creed would have resulted in a multitude of problems down the line. Cawl probably would have been better at managing the forces on Cadia but very few people would follow along with this level of treachory. That and Celestine would be waiting a lot longer then normal to come back when Abbadon Creed isn't there to save her from a giant daemon blade blowing her back out.

As someone who has played this its worthy of the building scale and gives a worthy end to the 13th black crusade. Honestly one of the best 40k stories

Fun fact Rimmy, the track that plays during the destruction of Cadia? It's called "Cadia Stands". Even the game agrees with you!

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the music, especially the part during Silver Dawn's portion? It sounds like the Imperial March, but instead of intimidating, it sounds glorious.

I'm a total normie so I kinda giggle whenever Rimmy make sexy walrus noises when he sees a chaos fidget spinner and an imperial burger.

From what I've seen, this setting is an absolutely f*cking insane hellhole, but seeing people who love 40k going full anime schoolgirl-tier over 40k lore/happenings is literally the most wholesome and satisfying thing. I could listen to it for hours.

I like how when the Admiral is giving her speech about vengeance and how they womt fail, two of her warships are immediately vaporized!

"Gonna need an ork to head butt him." Was that a fucking reference to Achaeon getting rekt by Grimgore?

For those unaware, the pylons were creations by the necrons during their wars with the old ones countless millenia ago, when they still were flesh and blood. The pylons in this case contain the eye of terror-but their original purpose was to cut the warp itself from reality, and the area around them does such. This was in hopes of cutting the old ones, the eldar, and others off from the warp so they could not use it in the war, since it was a major advantage the necrons lacked. This would prevent warp travel, use of eldar web ways, all things psyker, and more. The pylons on cadia are in fact why the cadian gate exists, as while they do not cut the warp off completely they stabalize this section of the eye of terror, preventing the chaos of it from interfering with warp travel. Cadia is the only reliable way into or out of the eye of terror because of them, as warp travel to and from cadia is "reliable" as far as warp travel ever is. If you try and travel to or from the eye of terror any other route, you essentially are relliant on the chaos gods to guide you, not to your destination, but to whereever the F they want you. There is no consistent method to travel the warp even with a navigator due to the chaotic storms, time and space are both unreliable.

14:30 I absolutely love this. However, you are also wrong. Whenever something is green in Warhammer, it is the Mechanicus, Necrons, both, or DA WAAAAAAAAAGH

I gotta give credit, whoever wrote and edited the cut scenes for that prologue made it look damn good. The pan over Abbadon's ship at 17:40 with the sun in the background casting it in that evil glow said, this is the bad guy, this is a super duper bad guy, it's kill or be killed, all or nothing. All in about a 10 second slow pan, excellent cinematography. Even if you didn't know jack about the setting, you would know that ship is worth your last breath to defeat to save the good guys.

I find it kind of amusing, how you guys aren't there to enforce morale and discipline, but to make sure, that Kriegers don't throw away their lives needlessly. After all, they gladly charge the enemies of man. The challenge is to make them charge, when this actualy can make a difference.

I'm glad you enjoyed the prologue as much as I did on my playthrough; A full playthrough will take an absurd amount of time but I would love you forever if you showed us all the fights against the Titans (the Ancient One, the Space Hulks, etc.)

There are 2 kinds of reactions when warhammer 40k is involved... Its either "this is dumb" (Hearasy) Or its creaming your pants at the near unfathomable scale and hardcore violence utterly unique to a universe where of its name dosent sound like a metal album or the reason behind a crusade its not worthy. I love the reaction of awe and would watch every one of Rimmys videos on this because someone this outwardly passionate about one of my favorite games is something I would get hype for.
