Currently I've been a fan of Lays Flaming Hot, very light yet very spicy. Incredibly addicting, the mount is nice too.

i like shrimp chips. i’m glad you guys made this, i wanted the tiny/lightweight of the g69 but not the controls. an extra .17 oz is sad, but fine. keep it up!

Not with a nightcap but we have used it with the Tracer Tactical Harness, which is similar. It works fantastic and we would imagine it works well with a nightcap as well.

and after installed you keep the full range of height adjust?

Great question. You lose a little of the throw adjustment (the furthest distance it can move out will be shorter) but it sucks the NOD in closer. The height can be adjusted to the same level as the plate has multiple screw holes to customize the height much like the stock breakaway plate. Compared to other integrated helmet mounts, it still has a further range of adjustment than others.

How does this compare to a Wilcox G69?

Great question. The Wilcox G69 has the same fundamental flaws as the G24 and other mounts in that family in that there is a steel pin resting on an aluminum drum that over time, develops a up/down wobble in the arm if impacted repeatedly. It also depends on the features you are looking for. The Wilcox is a touch lighter (about 20g)and will come with the lanyard, though personally we find the lanyard lacking and prefer to tie a piece of cordage with a mini-carabiner to the shroud itself for proper retention. The CHIP-Cadex combo will have a lot more features, such as an adjustable dovetail and greater range of adjustments for throw, and height, as well as having a one handed adjustment for height vs the friction fit one. Force to overcome up is also a very nice feature for us, and allows for quick stowage in dynamic lighting conditions. The Cadex is also a much stronger mount as the way it locks is far more wear resistant and there are no plastic parts to break such as the height and tilt levers.

Would this work with the PGD you guys sale ?

Yes it does! You can see it on a PGD in the profile comparison parts of the video. We suggest using the stock PGD screws, as PGD uses larger holes for the shroud than most helmets. It does take a little more finesse, but it works perfectly one installed.

Nope, its specifically designed for a cadex, but you can check out the G69.

Very nice product, looks like it fills a very useful niche, but holy smokes that pricing. I know that NV is a small market, so low sales volume means higher pricing to make a profit, but I still blanch at the thought of paying over $60usd for a stamped sheet 6061 plate with a few threaded holes.

Thanks for the view and feedback. When you look at night vision as an entire system, there are a few options to lower weight and profile of the NODs. You could go with a lighter housing or lighter lenses. Both which are usually more expensive options or offer different features the user may not use or enjoy depending on the setup. Or you could lower the profile and weight of the mounting hardware so that the compromises may not need to be made on the housing and glass level. Compared to other options on the market we feel that there are few integrated mounts that offer the features, durability and low profile nature of the CHIP+Cadex at the same price. The CHIP did take quite a bit of design work to get the gauges, and stamps made properly to the right angles. As well, it is fully made and cerakoated in Canada, we wanted to make sure all parties were compensated fairly for their work.

Gotta disagree. The OG nacho cheese is still the best. Product looks great. Can't wait to pick mine up.
