Cadac Safari Chef 2 HP (High Pressure) Gas BBQ Review
Ойын-сауық
My totally independent and unbiased review of the Cadac Safari Chef HP - High Pressure compact gas BBQ / barbeque. I'm not paid by anyone for this, so is a genuine review by an actual owner.
This video looks at the high pressure version which means you can screw the gas cylinder directly onto the BBQ without the need for separate hoses, regulators, clips and adapters etc.
Most videos on KZread look at the more common low pressure (LP) version, which as you'll see in the video I don't think is so desirable.

Great review, helped me with my decision to finally get one. Thanks!
Good work... nice review..
The original gas you see in this video finally ran out this week, after about 20 meals. They seem to last ages!
Great bbq gas lasts really well. We have used for picnics, lunches and evenings with friends round.
I’ve been asked how you tell the difference between an LP and HP models. As you look at the underside of them, where the gas connection is, the HP version has a female thread plus there’s an arrow pointing in a clockwise direction, which is the usual tightening direction for most things. The LP version has a male thread which you screw an adaptor (which has the female part of the thread) onto and the gas pipe then pushes onto the other end of the adaptor. Also it has an arrow pointing in an anti clockwise direction, which is the direction most gas fittings tighten up in. Hope that clarifies.

Hi, do you know if there is a female adapter to attach onto the LP version?
Could you cook a meal which takes 30-45 mins on one canister? Thanks
Brill upload could you do a long overiew of bosch
Where did you get the small attachment for the bottom that the gas screws onto? As mine doesn’t have that
Difference between lp and hp please as we have same shape cadac and believe me it's git no flame and God help me if a breeze is present
How long does a cylinder that size last?
I have the same one but how do I know defently its HP or LP mine just has a thread underneath not that style

JAMTHEGOAT Hi it should say on the packaging that it’s HP plus you should easily be able to screw a standard C500 gas cartridge onto it. If neither of these apply, you’ve almost certainly got the LP version and will need a regulator, thanks Tim

We are still on the first gas, the one you see in the video and I’ve now cooked 15 or so meals on it! That’s for just 2 of us though. You should still get 7 or 8 bbq’s with a family of 4 I’d guess. However, cooking for 4 on this would be a very tight squeeze unless you’re willing to do the kids first and yourselves after. I’ve owned the bigger Carry Chef too which I can also highly recommend and it will cater for 4 comfortably. Plus you can use larger gas containers on it which last ages. Hope that helps.
The plates zip inside the bag lid

sullpowers Many thanks, I found that a bit tight and easier to just put them in the main compartment. Cheers
