What brilliant video, straight forward and simple, no BS!
Good video, great product. I used to have the smaller Cadac Safari Chef but found it generated a lot less heat and cooking was very slow, the Carri Chef however is superb.
Another very helpful video. Thanks guys! :)
Storage - my sentiment also and experience. We haven't mentioned cleaning, but can be diffilcult, and if like me you feel precious about damaging those non-stick surfaces especially the grill. Hopefully this idea will handle both areas of concern. Purchase from Wickes for £10 their largest black plasterers mixing tub. It can carry the whole Cadac and allows you to soak in detergent and soften all the burnt grease (for as long as you can) in minimum water because of it's large diameter base. Take it probably home to clean - keeps anything messy away from your clothing and fabric of your vehicle. It works for me.
Not sure if they have changed the bag provided recently because ours is easy to pack away. Lovely quick to assemble and pack away bbq 💪🏻
really helpful video
Good stuff ...top tip about soaking the skewers lol
A lot of this product is great but two problems... The slightest breeze blows the gas flame out and I noticed he never showed how you fit those pieces back into the carry bag. I think its impossible without completely dismantling the handles and gas fittings.
Red sauce on bacon & egg!!!! Heathen man...Get some brown.
Good solid product but as previously said, a light breath of wind and it blows out. I've switched to a teppanyaki grill which can be used in the awning and on the sites electric that you have paid for 😃
Thank you. Great review.
Pain in the backside to pack away, could have been engineered a whole load better
I bought one of these after seeing this video, however my experience is not at all like this, everything EVERYTHING sticks to the grill and I mean literally welds itself on. Unusable! the pan is good tho
I have had the first “Old” Carri chef for 16+ years and apart from the carry-bag which is Too small and a piece of Junk, the bbq itself is just Fabulous. I have heard a Lot of complaints about this new model, the surfaces are now made with more environment-friendly materials, and it seems that cleaning it afterwards is now a Whole Lot more difficult. Personally, I don’t like the heat diffuser built in underneath the bbq grid, I prefer the good old Separate heat diffuser that came with the old model, it just Works perfectly. So I will stick with my Old and trusted carri chef 1. The only down-side with the carri chef in General is that it does NOT cook anything slowly; the burner is Huge, and it’s very ehh, how can I say this, “Enthusiastic”…. You need to keep watching it All the time.

i too have the old carri chef 1 and prefer it to the newer model, my only complaint about it is that the lid has too many large vent holes in it. makes it difficult to hold heat inside when you are roasting or baking, i plug some of them up with crumpled aluminum foil to help things out. the carry bag is small, but with some practice i can get everything inside except the heat deflector and skottle.

Looks good. But when a Brit starts cooking I’m turning off 😂
