Climbing a pine outside our cabin in Täcksberget, Dalarna - Sweden. Footage from my second climb, after going down to fetch my cameras.

Heck of a canopy anchor! I’m assuming that was pre-set?

Yes, it was pre-set. I left my rope in the tree for the weekend. I went up and down several times trying to break in the prusik cord. I could not get it to grip at first. Tried every hitch in the book. It's fine now after some use.

@@TrainsAndTrees Nice, I figured that was just too perfect of a tie in point to have set from the ground. Awesome canopy anchor nonetheless! Have you tried added extra twists or extra braids in the prusik knots? Sometimes a simple twist in that last leg of the hitch can make a huge difference. Richard Mumford has a really good video about exact that. I prefer the Michoacán hitch and find it works the best for multiple different ropes and sizes (for me at-least). I’m a new subscriber and thanks for the reply!!
