One of the best parts of remote filming is how much we get to see Saltzman now. All the little visual cut-ins with the head nods in agreement and such adds something for some reason. (Large head nod as I finish that sentence, so I have to assume he agrees.)

The trivia about Kevin in Cabin in the Woods, who is not based on any existing property, is actually cool as shit. For one, he was one of the ones they almost summoned, being triggered by the film reel, and 2, they were extremely lucky to not pick him, because there was no chance in hell of surviving him, as he has the power to exsanguinate (remove all the blood from someones body) someone almost instantaneously. Or at least, that's his only known power. The quote from the novelization (edited to say not novel, so nobody gets excited for nothing) of the one kill during the purge attributed to him: "untarnished, but Dana had never seen 'anyone more dead.'" Oh, and he's just supposed to look like some guy. You might have passed him in the supermarket the last time you were there.

Pretty sure Jango truly cared about Boba. He specified in his agreement with Dooku that he wanted an unaltered clone, he personally looked after him, taught him everything he knew, they seemed to enjoy their time together, and Boba in both AOTC and in The Clone Wars truly seems to mourn and covet his father: in one episode of TCW, he infiltrates the training facility to take out Jedi Master Windu for killing Jango (I think?), and in that one he stops himself from shooting a clone when his helmet comes off and Boba sees his father's face. Later he again refuses to kill a captured clone, presumably because he reminded him too much of his father.

@greenredblue
2 жыл бұрын
@@pedrogarcia8706 I don't think the book has a definitive statement about the morality of anything - not even in the Black Freighter comic you referenced. And I think Alan Moore delights in exactly that ambiguity. Adrian himself acknowledges that he's one of the world's worst mass murderers, but from a trolley problem calculus his actions are indeed moral. Assuming he's right, which Dr. Manhattan points out is not a safe assumption. So, really, all we can say about it is there's a lot to talk about. There is no single clear interpretation. Edit: forgot to clarify the point about the protagonist of the Black Freighter. His actions in fact _were_ justified according to his understanding/assumptions at the time, even if without context they were unambiguously harmful/evil. The twist in the book is that he discovers his assumptions were wrong. But if his assumptions hadn't been wrong, then in a sense what he did was urgent and necessary. So how can "inherent evil" or "inherent good" exist if they can be changed by context? You could say that he went to such extremes that he could only be evil, but then that's arbitrary, and it leaves unanswered what we should think about the rest of the characters of Watchmen, *all* of whom do unambiguous harm to all sorts of people in the name of good. So then what are we supposed to conclude about any of this?

Nah, choosing to murder millions of innocent people isn't morally right, any way you slice it. The answer to the trolley problem, especially when super heroes are involved, is you pick up the trolley and set it back down where there's no people, or you send the trolley down one track, and go free the person on that track, because you have fuckin' super powers. The problem is one guy thinking he has the answer to all the problems when he actually doesn't. The plan is flawed, because if the plan gets out, everything goes back to the way it was, which is what's doomed to happen thanks to Rorschach's journal. If that gets out, all those people died for nothing, and they didn't even get a choice in the matter.

@7:11 - No correction here, just an interesting aside. For flavor, many Marshalls will use a slimmed down Tarot deck, with the Major Arcana included to the side. Depending on what is drawn or rolled, the Major Arcana can be used to grant additional boons or banes.

Um Actually, the Sheng Long rumor started as an april fools joke in the EGM magazine if i am not mistaken, and then akuma sort of tangentially originated from that as stated, but the rumors were that sheng long was ryu and ken's master, and in Street Fighter 4 they brought a character named Gouken, which was ryu and ken's master and has the spitting image of the april fools sheng long image from IGM. you can actually lookup in google and see how gouken and sheng long are basically the same character which was originated by a prank. and Street Fighter 2: Turbo if i am not mistaken was actually called Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting (but had the "turbo" elements such as faster movements)

The Futurama episode you talked about is the inspiration for one of my future tattoos as it’s from my favourite episode.
The snake pictured was Naked Snake who was not a clone, he was the og.
I love when something like Abe's exodus comes up and the show becomes gibberish for 2 minutes that I'm 90% sure you're making up
9:57, that is a damn near spot on impression of Bill Clinton! Like, spooky accurate!
Huge thumbs up for the "Dark".. insanely good!!!
when you played the original Battlestar Galactica theme, I was literally jumping in my bed! I couldn't believe that no one got it. it's so iconic ❤️ love that you included it! yes I'm that nerdy 🤓 also had to listen to the 90's boy band FIVE now for their Battlestar song.

It even gets a brief play in the new series (I think it's in the Pilot when they show a classic "Clanker" cylon in the museum, before everything goes to shit).
Truly never thought of the Rugrats as being an 'upsetting to look at' 90s cartoon until now 😂
Um actually, time zones are not to blame for it being different light levels across the world. It's due to the world spinning, and being a sphere.
The question at 26:55, Joan doesn't say "um, actually"!
Um Actually Phillip's Older Brother takes the seven leaf clover from Phillip well before he was frozen not after.

Um actually, he gets it out of the breakfast club soundtrack record sleeve from Fry's ronco record vault while looking for music for his wedding. He says it should clear out the room after the reception, then the clover falls out.
Um Actually, Panda-Mania is awesome. Her costume is a hooded panda onesie.
Thank you for giving Dark the appreciation it deserves. I wish I could convince more people to watch that series.
A year late, but I forgot the name of the movie Joan was describing as well until I rewatched Dead Meat. It's called "Better Watch Out!"
Seeing the brotherhood opening get fumbled hurt me as someone who loves it so much
Absolutely here for the Dark praise. Watch it. So good.
Um, actually, I'm pretty sure Deadlands does not use playing cards for character creation. Unless I have been playing it wrong all these years.

Deadlands, the original, certainly uses playing cards for character creation. Deadlands: Reloaded, it's Savage Worlds rebrand, does not.

@@chesthoIe Ahh, I've only play Reloaded. Thank you.
The one guy has the funniest art over his shoulder to our left, kept cracking me up lol
Heyyyy! They talked about gaming translation! Good to see a question talking about it!
To Trapp's point at 14:25. Some streaming services actually default to skipping the intro and I absolutely hate that. I feel like listening to the intro is integral to the experience. Granted if you're binging the show then maybe you don't need to watch the intro 10+ times. But you have to get it in there at least a few times.

yeah I like the button being there but never automatic. and some shows the very thought of skipping the intro is so offensive to me I would prefer I can remove it entirely :)
There’s Corridor Crew that edited scenes from Home Alone to be more violent/realistic. And then there’s also another KZread channel that edits trailers to be in different genres.
