Cabin air filter. Normally we call the one for the engine, simply "air filter". So if you go to the store make sure you ask for cabin air filter, otherwise they will give you the air filter for the engine. Thanks for watching.

I have a 2012 VW Routan and I just received a new filter. But when I dropped my glove compartment, it doesn't have a filter. Do some models have it located somewhere else?

My VW Routan S 2010 doesn't have it at the same location, prolly under the hood never bothered to change it lol

I have a 2010 VW Routan, & the filter is NOT accessible like that. The orientation is different.

Sorry about that. I am not sure what market you are in, North America, South America, Europe, etc. I am not sure if they delete this option on some models or in other markets. These things are beyond my control. Thanks for watching.

2012 Volkswagen Roatan there is no cabin filter behind lower glove box

No, the 2011 Routan is not like that on my mom's.

From what I know not all VW Routan's have it. Supposedly only the SEL/Premium have it. Mine does not have it, which is dumb!

Yeah, mine looks nothing like that

My 2009 Routan is not like this.

Same here. SE model@NA. The user manual says it has one, but I don’t see it behind the glove box.
