I was about to say "stop spending 10 seconds every morning toasting bread and instead start a restaurant service" "No, you don't need every fresh vegetable, just half of them.

Tried it. Really good idea for breakfast, especially for children, who don't eat vegetables. But, some tips: after flipping first time, reduce the heat to minimum, add the egg, cover the lid and cook for a while to be sure that the egg is almost ready, and only then cover it with the cheese. And if you use the lid, forget about this crunchy top))) still, strongly recommend this breakfast idea.

Oh I have too much cabbage, onions, carrots in my garden right now and the hens are laying so many eggs! Such a good idea! My winter garden and eggs will not go to waste!

Infinitely better than toast, but not many people have time for that in the morning! Edit: Yes, You can prep at night, won't take too long, just have to be willing to spend extra time making your breakfast.

You can slice all the ingredients on a sunday for 5 or 6 days worth, then just use the precut ingredients for cooking

Fried cabbage with ham/bacon, onions, carrots, soft egg yolks and cheese is divine. Yours is so fancy, you made cute donuts with garnish and a side salad. I just throw it all in a bowl, eggs and cheese on top.... presentation goals here 😅

Thanks for sharing,alot of those veggies can be prepared the night before,heat up the cooking wear when you get up,will probably take ten minutes to cook or less,it looks tasty to me.

I've never washed cabbage, googling why someone would wash is the fact that it could have insects or dirt inside. Which I've never seen in the inner layers, but if someone wants to be extra sure, it can't hurt.

If you’re a vegetarian a substitute for the salty tasty flavor of ham could be caramelized onion. Or cooked mushroom would be great. Sun dried tomato, if you like that.

Well OK, I did make it (subbed napa cabbage for the green cabbage and catamount cheddar for the mozzarella). My husband and I both liked it a lot. The children won't eat it, oh well. I had a lot of the mix left over. Saved it in the fridge and made it without the extra egg 2 days later. This is basically a very tasty veggie hash recipe.
