Thank you for an absolutely outstanding video. In my view the ride up to Gornergrat is far more beautiful than the ride up to Jungfruajoch. Moreover the views from the top are better. Oh, and I nearly forgot, the fare to Gornergrat is much much cheaper!

Ich bin mit der Seilbahn aufs Kleine Matterhorn gefahren, 3883 m. Das macht man nicht jeden Tag. Und es bleibt ebenfalls unvergessen. 😊

You can easily tell how steep the line is just by looking at angle of the trees and buildings next the tracks.

No graffiti, no trash, beautiful scenery. It can be done......just not in America. Where trash and spray painted buildings are all along the railway..very sad America tolerates that.

And I thought Zermatt was crowded in 1958.

@@AKSense We had an apartment in the "Sun Valley Lodge", a brand new building on the southern outskirts of town along the Schluhmattstrasse. Apartment is there and owned by the same family Petrig, There were no buildings between our apartment and the Schwarzsee Furi telecabine further up the road. We could look across the Matter vispa river, there were no buildings, only small huts and farmers tending goats and raking hay. We could hike from our house uphill to the Gornergrat rail line, there were only fields, no chalets. Winter season was very busy. Summers not so much. Good memories riding the trains.
