Cab ride Zürich - Chur / train drivers view in Switzerland in 4K (August 2022)
In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train drivers view from Zürich to Chur, which is a part of the The Lake Zürich left bank railway line. As its name suggests, it runs down the left, or west, bank of Lake Zürich, connecting Zürich to Ziegelbrücke. The left-bank railway opened in 1875 and forms part of the Zürich-Chur main line. It is 61.31 kilometres (38.10 mi) long, standard gauge, double track and electrified at 15 kV 16.7 Hz AC supplied by overhead line. The train on our journey used the Zimmerberg Base Tunnel not the lakeside line. From Ziegelbrücke it continuous to Ziegelbrücke-Sargans railway, Chur is its ultimate destination. Chur is a capital of the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The railway station was opened in 1858 and it is the most important railway junction in Graubünden. The station is one of the most important stations on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) metre-gauge network.

There was a lot going on with this train ride. Scenery, mountains, farms. small Swiss towns, but the highlight for me was Lake Zurich. Gorgeous scenes of the lake with boats in marinas. Thank you for showing me this part of Switzerland.

@antoniotropea220 I love the Switzerland landscape. We went with a car and I was surprised that here was not a lot of traffic on the mountain passes. I believe that because of nice and good railway connections.

I am planning to stay in Novotel Zurich Airport Messe next week. I want to travel to chur from there. Which railway station is nearest for going to Chur ? Can anybody advice please

Bei Ziegelbrücke kommt von links die Linie von Rapperswil hinzu und nicht von Linthal Nach Unterterzen kommt die Haltestelle Mols und nicht Walenstadt

10:15 Floating swimming pool off to the left. Something you don't see every day. I looked real hard as we passed through Mels, but I didn't see any diner. (That's supposed to be a joke.) Wished not to stop in Bad Ragaz, as my drill instructor did that enough to me in boot camp already. (Another joke?)
