@@ChristianHudnell seems like it was designed for adults and adheres to the traditional Corvette style. The C8 is trying to be an Aventador with the emphasis on lines and even I can say the styling of lights being more linear, but that's my 2 cents.

I experienced the opposite.

Bought the same car back in May as far as the 19 z06. Same color minus the c7 package. I have the 2lz and I love it. Mine is an auto and it’s still a blast! When u see a c7 it’s still is no mistaking it for nothing other than a Corvette! The c8 gets lost as far as it’s identity when compared to some other mid engine cars.. I think u made an awesome choice in the c7 z! Keep up the great content! Congrats on ur ride...trust me I feel ur pleasure!

Been debating between a C7 Z06 or getting a C8 Z51. Currently have a 2015 C7 Stingray with 15k miles. Leaning towards the Z06 for the performance and widebody look. So hard to choose, they are both beautiful cars 😭.

Want to race get the z06 still will turn heads for both sides normal people and car people, zo6 will win races and the c7 is a beautiful car. C8 is beautiful but the only thing that justifies the price is the rarity but they are still being made

I like the fact the C8 has a mid-engine layout but the C7 looks more badass. Also until Chevy comes out with the Z06 the C7 wins the horsepower war. I love the color & carbon fiber design on your Z06.

IMHO, I think the C8 is a beautiful car, but it just doesn't look like a Corvette anymore. I felt pretty much the same way about the C7 when it came out, but I can still see the 'Corvette' in its body lines. I've owned a C5 convertible for almost 20 years, and I still love it. I'm sure the C8 will grow on me. Sad to think this is probably the last totally gasoline powered Vette there will ever be.......

The problem with this comparo is that you can’t buy a MSRP C8 unless you wait 1-2yrs and the ones in inventory are at least 15k add on.

There is nothing that GM makes that is worth that kind of money much less the $15-$20K markup!!! At that point, buy a used 911 Twin Turbo and you'll be miles ahead!

You can find the C7 ZO6 now for around $60,000 crazy

I was debating between the two, and I chose the C8 because I am paying $69k for my 2021 C8 Z51 with mag ride (MSRP), and C7 Z06's are in the 80-100k range. The used market is kinda crazy right now.

@@Enzo-tg8uo it’s due to supply and demand issues in the entire vehicle market. I’ve noticed from what I’ve seen the last two weeks prices are slowing down. The z06 are going back down again also. Saw a 2015 z06 today with only 41k miles for 62k clean title 2lz.

That's a pretty cheap dealer price. Most are going for 70-92k, but it all depends on year and mileage. Extras like the z07 also matter. Most people would probably pay 84k for that car. My 2019 c7 grand sport convertible with 3k miles was 79k when I got it this past June. I paid pretty much what it was going for in my state. I was fine with it though. I almost went with a 2017 z06 that was around the same price, but I felt like it was better getting the fully loaded newer gs. Being a 2019, it's the last of its kind too.

Nothing like the deep rumble of the C7 Z06 and the manual trans. C7 just looks better and has better lines.

I want a z06 but the market is absolutely ridiculous I can’t justify paying base c8 money for a car with 60k miles……that’s what pushed me for a c8

My 2017 Z06 with 8,000 miles and M7, KBB is telling me it's about $78,000 if I sell to private party (Excellent condition) Funny thing is MSRP was 83k, this chip shortage thing is driving used car prices up. Do you think I should wait or sell right now? Is it going to keep going up? It's unbelievable this chip thing I heard it's going to last awhile. If it's near MSRP I definitely will sell since I will make some good money on it. And I might get a C8Z51 or wait for C8Z06 I will see. Thanks for the awesome video I enjoyed every min of it.

I have a C7 Z06 and would never pick the C8 over mine. Cute from a dig but that’s about it.

I really wish Chevy would've gone down the C6 design route with the C8 (curvy lines). The rear end of the car just doesn't look good. It looks pretty good from the front and front quarter views, but that rear end is just.... Droopy. It sags in the middle. I prefer the C6 to the C7, but I definitely prefer the C7 to the C8. Can't beat the design of a front-engined car, IMO. Designers have much more to work with on a front engine layout than they do with a mid engine layout. I should be adding a C7 Z06 to my garage here in a few weeks! 😀

I agree, I always thought doing a newer c6 style rear and taillights would have looked so good on the C8. Having both the C6 and now C7 I agree. In Costa Rica the c8 costs 169 000 dollars... Im trying to buy a c7 for 80 000... taxes are brutal here

I'd say the C7 if you are looking for the traditional Corvette Experience (front engine, rwd and manual) The C8 if you are looking into a budget supercar experience, amazing handling, alot of traction and so on.

Lol how in the fuck did that guy get a c8 for 75k ? I'm based out of Miami Florida and these dealers are charging up to 110k for a sting ray with 4 hundred and something horsepower ridiculous. Once the c8 z06 comes out the c8 sting rays are gonna drop dramatically in pricing.

They tried to make the c8 too Luxery supercar like. C7 got that classic vett look and feel, nice American muscle feeling while still pretty modern. C7>c8

C7 all day.

GM gave you everything in the C8 to wrap it how you like. You can actually pull off a Lamborghini sian look on the C8, the C7 is too busy to achieve that look. If you follow the headlights with a black strip of carbon flash wrap to the doors on the C8, it hilights the front line aerodynamics. The C7 line dosent do that. The pillars for the roof can also be done to flow into the rear engine bay, but others have done that already. You cant get that effect on the C7, and many have tried. The C8 with a skilled detail can become the most exotic looking car around, but the C7 dosent have the lines to do it. The C8 needs those Maserati wheels or Lamborghini wheels with the large honeycombs off Alibaba to really set it off. I am surprised nobody figured out this.

Clear winner is , The C7 Corvette 👍 The C8 is not a Corvette , its a wannabe McLaren , Ferrari super car ! PS. I would’ve had much more respect for Chevrolet if they had continued the front engine Corvette line and just added the C8, but yet under a different name , Like Ford did with the GT-40 !

The best part about Corvettes are they give best of both worlds. I like that they have a mid engine exotic style and the C7 is a sports car muscle style. I really like corvettes direction and as far as performance it was a good change

The appearance of the C8 has nothing to do with a real Corvette. It's a failed copy of other brands, with an ugly backside. It is a pity that they are throwing their own identity to pieces.

Yeah the car is expensive

Chevy really screwed up the C8. They started with a clean sheet of paper and could have done something spectacular but instead, they came up with a half aborted attempt at a supercar. 1. The rear end look hideous - they copied the taillights from a Camero which is a lower brand for their top tier sports car. 2. The interior with the HVAC controls down the center rail looks amateurish and is hard to use. 3. The fit and finish is lacking. 4. Problems have already came up and are well documented on KZread by owners - some are pretty rediculous considering these problems are not vehicle specific problems! GM is definitely moving in the right direction but unfortunately, the competition is also stepping up their game so the benchmark now is higher then ever.

A beautiful C7 or a copy cat wanna be exotic ugly C8?

I'll take the Mustang that gaps these overpriced foreign exotic wannabes.
