People don't understand why a man in his fourtys starts crying when he hears 8-bit music from games like Wings Of Fury, Giana Sisters or Fortress Of Fear. I admire people taking so much time and dedication into creating something hauntingly beautiful from those "old" pieces. Thank you!

To be honest - this arrangement is a lot more than just playing the original composition. I like chiptunes, especially the reduced 3 channel stuff from the SID, but once they get played on real instruments, it becomes quickly clear they were meant to be delivered in one shape only. This version clearly uses the advantages of an analogue instrument.
@helenmarfleet6330

While I agree with Herr Schmidt that this particular arrangement is using the advantages of equipment that Chris Hulsbeck didn't have when he composed it, it is none the less a beautiful arrangement of the piece. C64 and Amiga music should be legitimized as a genre and not just seen as geek fodder. Many great composers of the era made beautiful pieces of music that can be enjoyed by everyone. Hulsbeck is one of the greats and should be celebrated as such. I used to load up this game and listen to the whole track before I'd actually play, because I loved it so much. I mean, it's not that modern game music composers don't do a good job, they do (I quite enjoy the ambient music on Minecraft, for example), but the old composers, they had much simpler tools to work with and they had to make a tune work well with those limited tools, and you got to respect them for that.

Excellent work...
Wow, first time I hear you, you're great!
I miss you c64 i am sorry i left you for my kidbrothers...
Amazing!
Wow! I used to play this on the piano, too. There are many interpretations of those things that destroy the core and spirit of the music. But yours is just beautiful and captures and expands the mood of the original! Awesome!!!
Beautifull
Wow, sounds great. My ears say 'thank you' :)

Matt P. Seems to be just a coincidence; I'm sorry, I didn't come from Gronkh's channel. Although I appreciate his videos :) vehnae May I ask how long it did take you to get this good at playing the piano? :)

+Penelope Gray I've played and taken lessons since I was a little kid. But it has always been a fun hobby for me, I haven't studied "seriously" in music schools or such.
Very nice!
A really nice version. Both the performance and arrangement are awesome. I would love some more old C64 tunes in the same way like this. Other great Chris Huelbeck tunes like Shades and Turbo Outrun should be doable on piano.
Brilliant
great interpretation...nicely played :)
spine-tingling :D
so wonderful
Eigentlich war ich auf der Suche nach der Heavy Metal Version, aber diese Version hat mich auch begeistert, bravo!

I was searching for this soo long, its so amazing!
